Tips of slow growth.. :)

its kinda a stupid question, but im looking for the best way to slowly grow a

plant but keep it as healthy as possible. the reason for this is because i took

clones b4 i flowered the plants. i dont have any more space in my flowering

space and i dont have much more in my veg box. i have to wait about a

month more b4 i put the clones in the flowering room. anyways, i was

wondering if; cold temps(60's or so), low nutes, low cfl light, would help

slowly grow a plant but keep it healthy. i just dont want my plant to get

long and leggy(stretch) because of low light. i heard that when temps are

colder you want to increase the tds of ferts(?) any ideas about how to go

about this? thank you in advance  :peace::peace::blsmoke::peace::peace:

cold temps do slow growth. but the less cfl light isnt a good idea. you said you didnt want strechting thats exactly what it will do. i would say same amount of light. but keep temps down... im sure someone has had this problem as well.. so hopefully someone with more knowledge on it helps out with this. im usually trying to do the opposite and SPEED UP the process, not slow it down, but if ya havent got room ya havent got room. bump

thanks smokin! ya i know, everyone is trying to speed up the process and so am i with the flowering ones so i can get them out of the way :) ya, adding more light will make the grow cab hotter though... so im not sure what to do.. i guess i can experiment :)

also does anyones think that if i feed them bloom nutes would help? something will less nitrogen....?:peace:

i've never kept a mother so could easily be talking directly from my ass, but I thought you could just keep pruning and trimming (and doing something else with the cuttings rather than cloning). But again, I've never done it so can't say for certain.

Hey EMAIL!! thanks for the idea. ya i read on the FAQ's that you can take a cutting and store it in the fridge for up to a month(?) or so... i read about that after i had my clones in the dome for a week or so. i guess i could just top, and prune any unwanted extra growth, like you said. idk why i didnt think of that.... lol ya. should be some interesting looking plants depending on how much i top the suckers... i might be able to put them in my yard and have them pass for a shrub as they will be bush like:mrgreen::mrgreen: have some rep email lol

edit-it says i have to spread some more reps b4 i give it to you(email) again.. thats gay
thanks anyway - i joined RIU while the rep system was broken so the rep i got early on went uncounted towards my current standing but that is OK - I'm still getting there

low temps will without a doubt slow growth I wouldnt recommend cutting the fertilizers down too much. If you could keep your temps around 60 degrees continuously that would do it. I know this from experience.
