Tips on getting quicker trimming buds?

Hi guys, I am averaging like 1-3 oz per grow, and it's usually just 1-2 plants. It doesn't seem to matter whether I trim the buds wet or dry, it takes me about the same amount of time - 6-8 hours. I am anal about trimming leaves flush. Last time, I felt like dry trimming took less time, because I realized I could basically just pick the leaves off with a toothpick. Very tedious, though. With my last grow, I decided to leave only top colas, but as I near 8 weeks, it looks to me like it will still take the same amount of work.

Anybody have suggestions for getting this done quicker, apart from the obvious "it comes with time" or "have friends help for a few nugs"?

Quickest way that I know is to get one of those fancy spin trimmers. But I’m not a fan of them because I’ve never used one

I am actually somewhat partial to leaving them on (haha puns). You're always smoking leaf matter, anyway. I am a bit opposed to buying more equipment, but I'd consider a simple DIY thing. Trimming is so damn messy, I just imagine the tools would need to be constantly cleaned or replaced.

If you are picky about the look of the nugs don't mess with the auto trimmers.
There are quite a few strains out there that have a very low leaf to bud ratio if you want to try that.
Otherwise, your only other option besides sucking it up is to lower your standards a bit and leave them a little messier for a quicker trim. Any leaves that close to the bud will be plenty resinous

I guess then, what I am wondering, is - is that about how long it usually takes for a good trim? Granted, I am not a pro at this lol
