yea ur right i over reaceted a little i just dont want any new growers suffering from this advice is all.. and the title of his post kinda pissed me off lol "Tired of people say MG is not for Cannabis. I'm going to shut all of you up."
notice you are the only person that got the dick in his ass enough to start cussing and acting like a derelict. Everyone else was civil in their discussions.

Just don't jump the gun and start acting like I fucked your woman and shit won't blow up like it did.

I am all for being proven wrong. When I do my grow and I am wrong laugh all you want I really don't care. Just makes me learn and gives the newbs a thread to read about why not to grow or why to grow with mg if short on money

I GROW GREAT GANJA

Active Member
Personally I have never understood this argument. I have grown successfully in MG using just MG potting soil, perlite and sphagnum. Plants came out just fine. I learned very early on the trick with MG is in the watering. If you use your head and listen to your plants MG works well. As my experience level grew I decided to try other mediums. I am now completely sold on Fox Farm products. And while they are certainly more expensive than MG, I am strictly a personal use only grower and have never done more than 2 at once. So, a bag of soil lasts me 3 cycles and at the amounts I use to feed the trio will last alot more than that. I have a local hydro shop that gave me 2 gram samples of the water soluables. So I will be set for a good while.

MG is excellent 'learning soil" IMO if you can grow good ganja with it then your product can only get better when you "grow beyond" using it.

As for the OP I totally agree that newbies should not be made to feel that growing in MG means auto fail. TBH I think it is pretty ignorant for anyone to advise a new grower to use expensive and complicated systems. I have seen tons of posts from people who have blindly followed this advice and end up with plants that a fungus gnat larvae would'nt touch and broke to boot.

MG is fine...learn to walk before trying to run.

I tend to mirror people a lot and that never ends very well when people start to get angry and things escalate.....

Also it being the internet things escalate quicker and egos grow 100x bigger. Anyway, I am going to see if I can get a good deal on a bunch of seeds or butcher one of my plants for cuttings then start the MG experiment

I just recently tried Miracle Gro for my first time, coming from making my own soil, and i used the 3 month time release stuff. that shit gave my baby nutrient lockout and now it's just kind of shitty, very burnt brittle leaves, unhealthy. luckily i only used it for 1 pot. it'll make it to harvest its just going to be below what i could have got. it was my fault though, i didnt examine the soil well enough. I'm sure the organic soil is good other than the damn whitefly ive heard they have. the nutes are pretty good though, all purpose veg. plant food is pretty good, i also use the bloom fert thats in granules for my other flowers and stuff

You think I should start from seeds for the sake of more reliable data? or do both seeds and cuttings?

ive got a buddy that uses their ferts and man he makes his water dark blue as hell and never gets nute burn. idk how he gets away with what i would think would be impossible lol. with the way he feeds i cant believe anything lives through it

I was thinkin about trying Silkroad for some seeds. It's cheaper and they have some strains you can only get on there
