To defol? or to not defol?

I’ve never used the bags . Some like them - some don’t . I heat my porch with the heater anyways , so it’s a free bi product of the tent being located there . There has been zero regulation though , just whatever is in the air is what they get , but it was constantly exceeding 2000ppm all through veg .

I ran the same genetics 2x , first time I gradually rolled into the lights , and fed lighter - without co2 “didn’t need the heater as it was still summer time “

The second grow was with the same nutrients , same tent , same strain even - but this time with my light full blast , at day 14 and tons of co2 , and I have one auto that I’m fairly confident is gonna be close to a lb , and another that will be all of 10-12 ounces . The same strains yielded 3-4 ounces each on the previous grow with less light , no added co2 , and of course less nutrients , as they weren’t being leaned on as hard .

I have a grow journal on riu, for both grows , and there really is no comparison between the two .

I would love for someone to do a comparison , using a 4x4 and only 300w total during veg - vs say double that with co2 and high temps/ humidity , I think you’ll find that the plants with more light , nutrients , co2 etc - will grow faster , bigger and bushier than the plants with less light , less co2 , less nutrients .

these were started October 30th . By day 15 the back left had been topped , the front right was left alone .

the back left has 25% or more bud sites , larger buds , and wider overall.

I should also add that i left my light fairly high to begin with and let the plants grow to it .Which might contribute to what you’re saying, but I do know my ppfd was very high at the canopy early , well over recommended but showed no signs of stress no canoe’d leaves etc . . In fact I was going to leave the lights turned down again , when the breeder of the strains told me to turn it up ! I’m sure glad I did , because they absolutely exploded with growth in 2 weeks . From day 14 to day 28 in that journal , they went from 5-6 inches to 3.5+ foot and equally as wide .

That mahfaka a beast homie damn. So yeah I get it now about the lung room and you definitely got some beautiful nugs on that one there homes. Hey quick question so a couple year ago I had this strain growing and they jumped. I know I did a completely different type of grow as I only grew one determined to cover the whole 4x4 this go round and last time with sog in mind and only topped them they grew sorta tall in a quick amount of time it seemed. But this scrog I know is a slow start from my plants I scrog outside but eventually they take off and each individual limb tends to be like it’s own plant growing for the sky or ceiling whatever it may be. But this bi@x$ is taking her sweet ass time and never really did what I wanted it to do so I got frustrated and said f it put my timer on 12 12 and said shi gonna do what she do. And started some more. I’ll take them and putem in my 2x2x4 in a week or so I get tired of putting these things together. The question sir. Is why. Why did she not grow as planned or even a little like planned. Is it because of the tote I decided would be way better than my ten gallon bags or better yet my 3 gallon bags. That was dumb but I just don’t think that is the culprit or the intensity of light. Just basing that off buddies and prior grows but damn why is she staying low and wide and not really being all she can be. Are grow bags that much better.

Was just Gona say plants look way over lighted and unhappy. Totally unnecessary amount of light.
Ok so why you say over lighted or what made you say that and if I am then I reckon I’ll cut one of ‘em off tomorrow when the lights come back on but I’m thinking it’s something to do with that damn tote. But yo you are probably right and I think your along par with the rest of the fam here so yeah I’ll probably just unplug one tomorrow and try not to think of what she could’ve been

I run a kind x750 in a 4x4 . I improved yield pretty extensively over my fluence spydr 2i 630w . The main key to getting the full potential , of all that wattage is co2 .
I don’t regulate co2 at all during the winter , in fact it’s often times 2000-3000 ppm , in my tent , vs dialing in at recommended amounts with my ac infinity co2 controller/regulator / during the summer .

I run a propane buddy heater on my porch “lung room” the results of my winter grows are always better than my summer grows and they are being exposed to double the c02 anyone recommends

with co2 you can run very hot and very humid . I’m growing two massive autoflowers currently , and the light was cranked from day 14 and on . I would see temps between 90-95* , humidity in the 85-90% range , and my plants absolutely loved it with high levels of co2 during the entire veg stage .

1000w in a 4x4 with co2 would have amazing results imho - especially with photos which are known for handling higher intensity over autos. I’ve always went for higher wattage than recommended .

With a big light , you can normally dim it down if need be , but if you don’t have enough light - you’re SOL

I lollipop and defoliate extensively , but I run high humidity and end up with wpm issues if I don’t defoliate - some guys never cut or tuck a leave and end up with amazing crops. I’ve had schwazzing produce awesome results - I’ve been on the wrong side of things where the plant stopped growing for 2 weeks , responded insanely slow and absolutely killed yield .
Co2 is a whole different conversation. It literally changes everything.
