to poke holes or not to poke holes is the ???????

ok well im about to start using soil and ive been seeing a lot of people starting off in plastic throw away drinking cups....my question is are they poking holes in the bottom to allow the water to drain?

Yes, this is the most important part to ANY container..... the better the drainage the happier the plant!

they should have holes. You want the water to drain and dry fast so seedlings can grow some roots, instead of flooding them and making the roots stick in one spot.

What I do is put the holes in the bottom and put 3 slices down the side of the cups as well, better aeration :)

thanks for the info im going to pop 1 fem northern light and 1 reg whitewidow today in some FF ocean forest with a lil bit of perlite

ok I got everything and I got red plastic cups perlite and the fox farm soil....thanks for the help
