TOP/FIM alternating nodes...no answers anywhere!?

looks like you have a lot of replies on this now but I went and snapped you a pic of an alternate node clone that I FIM'd for the very reason your asking. In the pic you will see that there are now 3 main tops even though they are at alternate spacing, they are all the same height now. So there you go. FIMming just the brand new tops will allow the smaller plants to catch up and make more tops.

Thanks guys. I did it last night. I FIM'd 12 of the even height ones and topped the 4 tall ones. I just wanted to take a little more off the top on the tall ones. Does this all look ok?

See the tall one that got toppd has a node real close to it soo figured it would be okay

Also on a side-note, could i FIM the 2 new colas that will be produced by the result of my TOPing? Normally people TOP, then TOP the 2 new ones again resulting in 4 main colas. Could i just FIM the 2 new colas to potentially have each produce more than 2, maybe 4 each from the 2 new colas that i produced?

it was actually a good tip imo.... because it is the truth. you probably wont have fun mainlining your clone but with topping, training, defoliating, pruning... you have plenty of tools to work with to slap that lady into shape

So if I top at a node will only that 1 branch on that node become a top? Or will the closest branch down (at the next node down) kick in and become the 2nd branch?

In my experience the top node will still be apical but it won't be as prominent. That's why people LST. Once the symmetry is gone it doesn't come back.

I think the author of the question was hoping to see answers explaining the causes of the phenomenon, but instead he received a bunch of advice on how to fix his bush.
Only the last answer Rahz is helpful, but not reassuring(((.
Now that six years have passed and you can no longer worry about his bush, perhaps someone can explain why the symmetry is broken.

Urine is a great source of nitrogen for your plants, however, I would not kiss directly on them, you need to dilute.

Nothing that you typed is even remotely close to what the man asked. Obviously you didn’t understand a damn thing that he just asked.
