Ok. Total noob to growing. I'm about 6-7 weeks into flowering. On almost all my buds I'm about half and half white hairs to red hairs. But on a couple I have all red hairs now. They also seem a little crisp. I don't have a magnafying glass so can't really check trics. What do u guys think. My camera is on my phone so it won't take pics close enough to tell. There 7 weeks in on 12/12 from clone. So there small plants. About a foot and a half. What do u think. I know what finished bud looks like but not while its still on the plant. Lol.

Not to say mercer is wrong But by the looks of them I would flush now and give them a week and decide then. Assuming your in soil. 6-7 weeks seems a little early to me.

It is a million times better to harvest a bit late then to harvest early because THC doesnt start to degrade for about 2 weeks. you should really get a cheap magnifying device of some sort and then flush for two waterings at the first sign of amber trichomes. This gives the best results. Red or white hairs really doesnt matter if you dont know the strain well its not a good indicator of maturity.Remember dont worry if you are harvesting a week late, no biggie.

i found that having some buds to smoke makes waiting to harvest not seem as long haha when im ready to pick and it looks kinda early, i just take a bong rip and before you know it its the next day, then repeat for a few days haha

I have seen so many people harvest early. I always say when it looks ready wait a week. The flush is very important as well. Make sure you put 3 time the container size each time. So if its a 1 gal pot you will need to put 3 gallons through it each watering. Put one gallon through, wait a few minutes to let any soil ferts dissolve then put the other 2 gallons through to flush it all out. I like to move them to the tub for this as you get lots of run off.
I mean cemical. Used organice poting soil and no nuts for first grow. Didn't want the nut burn thing to come in to play on my first run. My second round of plants are now on 1/2 nuts and I'm already seeing a little burn. Still trial and error for me. So this second one I will definanly remember to flush. At the end.
