Assholes grow better than hippies, I don't even handle that kind of buds since before 2000.
My outdoor is rock solid, you need direct full sun for best results. That either had longer or is real leafy bud.
 
Not saying you are bad grower, just saying partial payment of some terrible trim + claiming 2 oz of hash from that kind of trim was comedic to me.
Your friend needs some tips for sure; maybe patience or better genes, give him some clones.
