removed 2 small buds and the're sucker branches from the very bottom of plant 2 and one bud and sucker branch from plant 3, i couldnt remove the second lower branch from plant 3..... as it seems to have the plants second largest bud on it ... its a weird little thing

plant #1 seems to be equal in growth all over so remains in tact

i have trimmed the small budlets and hung them to dry.... little sample

well i have the smallest one of the budlets drying on my tray (its only about enough for a little one paper banger)i know it will dry fast and be alittle harsher, but i should get a rough idea of the taste from that one, i'll grind it up tomorrow if its anywhere near dry :-) ... the other 2 i have hanging for a slower dry and i'll check that on monday

i'm not expecting it to be quite the finished artical, i just want a gauge of where i'm at right now,i will cure the majority of my harvest for 3 weeks or so after its been chopped and dryed

Drying update (Early popcorn taster)
smells fruity but also quite sour too .... i'm expecting the sour to lighten up as it drys leaving the fruity/spicey... oh and its VERY sticky right now :weed:

well i smoked the first budlet .... report follows

Grinding 2/10 (but was always gonna be wet inside)
raw smell 2/10 (lawn/urine)
burn quality 4/10 (even but damp)
smoke taste 2/10 (had worse, harsh little to no after taste)
smoke smell 2/10 (damp boxwood)
high 2/10 (little head-no body)

didn't learn much at all about the taste ... hoping the other two slow drying buds might hold an answer

smoke taste 3/10 (still no real depth to the after taste)

well thats about it for the popcorn buds .... i'm hoping that when i chop the plants some cure time will add the missing aromas to the final product....

now i have a problem, i am reasonably stoned from my taster, and i have a deadline for my harvest of today if i am to get any bud dried (but uncured) for smoking on Christmas Eve, now i think they could do with another week to be totally ready. so do i?

1.) harvest plant #1 ... it looks ready, but trichs remain cloudy/clear (moderate yeild)
2.) harvest plant #3 "The runt" ... it seems as advanced as the other two but has a tiny yeild ... so i wouldn't be too upset if it wasn't 100%, as it's not going to get a decent cure anyways....

what do you think?

Do the runt.
At least then your next one (#1) is going to be decent by the new year, and you can cane the runts yield knowing the proper harvest is still yet to come, which you can then take more time about :)

I'm not so sure about having clear trichs though. I would have thought that at the least, they should all be cloudy... But that's up to you though man. I think it'll be a little stronger if they're all cloudy with no clear. But like you say, you want to have a crimbo burn... so leave #1 until you see at least a little bit of amber. You'll probably still have some runt left by the time that happens so you won't be without :)

That's what I think anyways bruh. Either way, I'm proper jealous as mine are no where near completion :(
My buds have doubled in size though since a few days, I just want them to swell as well as they're still skinny little fukers. Proper stinky though! hehe Still no pistels on my cheese, but after only 1 week it's no surprise.
Next week is when I'll be ordering another light.

On another note;
Here's what I'm thinking about at the mo, to start next spring... Guerrilla grow.
I live in the countryside, so it surely can't be that hard to find a good hidden spot near a stream eh?
Imagine the yields from an outdoor grow with 10-20 plants!
At £200 + for 1 Oz of high grade, and assuming 5 Oz per plant at 10 plants per plot, could be looking at at least £10,000 per plot! And that's if I only charge £200 per Oz, where-as I know places that sell 1 Oz of high grade for up to £260!!
Fucker me sideways!
I want about 5 or 6 plots... that's a shit lot of income, come October time!

I shall be looking for plots immediately.

My mate just bought an electric propagator. I've seen what those things do to roots and it's un-effing-believable! So my plan is to have my cuts rooted to fuckery before taking them out to sunbath, but first fertilising the soils well so I can leave them be for several months before checking up on them.
Am really looking forward to this project!

little tip mate... prep your soil into buckets with holes drilled in (so they have what they need regardless to the soil quality in your grow spot)... then simply dig them into a spot that remains fairly light but but moist .... taaaaaa daaaaaaaa! ... oh and use autos ....so you dont have to wait untill october and risk losing them to theives or bad weather

Trouties thoughts for the day :-)

oh and the runt is on the block

LoL execution stylee
"Orf with its head!!!"

Yeah I think you're right there with the soil. Maybe that's a good idea. I think I rather dig the holes and fill with some nuted soil. Not so sure about the auto's though, I like to veg them for two months (maybe three) first so that they're nice and sizeable before going out in March/April.
And as long as my plots are near streams or rivers then that should be guaranteed to be moist enough... theoretically anyway lol
And seeing as it's quite a large plan, I may start with a smaller scale operation the first time round, but with several plots. Thinking about the bastid thieves as my reasoning on this one. Then if all plots are successful then it'll be a lovely bonus :)

The runt has been chopped

sticky aint the word! .... i put it on a Cake decorating turn table in its pot and started removing fan leaves from the bottom up... when i got restricted for space i removed the lower outer branches (small fluffy buds on sticks that should have gone in the hash making pile) leaving the three larger buds on there until they were striped of everything including most of the sugar leaves ... i saved nothing for hash making this time .... so all leaves went to waste (i'd love to make hash but a little time and space restricted atm.)

here she is .... all NAKED!

IMG_9619.jpgIMG_9623.JPG
it yeilded a little more then even i gave it credit for (well for a runt hahaha) there is also a pile of about 5-6 fluffy usless buds on twigs

the raw smell was like a generic lemon and lime sports drink ;-) ... not the sour smell i got a few days ago ... i will keep you updated and i will do a full blow by blow shoot when 1 & 2 get chopped
