Holy shit. This dude is totally trying to market an HPA rig. USING THE SAME FUCKING NOZZLES I'M USING!!! From what I can tell he doesn't seem to get the entire concept, ie: timing & chamber depth. Why haven't you left a comment on his website yet mike? The only thing worse than the amount of money this guy has invested in this system, is the amount of money some poor bastard is going to spend on it. You'll never see a mutt more deserving of euthanasia.

I inquired about his mist times/pressure/flow rate on YouTube. I doubt he'll reply. What gets me is how the hell he got his vids to the front of the pack, when they're not even a month old? $1400 a unit. Gotta pay for that injection molding & ad campaign I guess. If somebody is dumb enough to shell it out, that's their own fault.

i think the concept is pretty neat actually...you guys have already hit the timing and root chamber issues but the idea that one system can adapt to so many growing techniques is pretty cool...not $1400 cool or anything, but tooling around with the thing must be a good time

This is the method that has been proven by NASA to be the most efficient and productive way to grow indoors. Grow like NASA with less water and nutrients and obtain better results.
Grow like NASA..who have never managed to post an authentic aero root pic in all the years they`ve been at it.
Mike, Front of the pack or not, without an accumulator or a cycle timer the guy will be pissing against the wind, no real aero root pics from him :)

The problem is not that he is marketing a multi-ponic design necessarily, the issue is that there is already plenty enough mis-information online and in retail stores regarding any type of Aero, he doesn't need to perpetuate this problem with his uneducated antics regarding the subject. I would personally like to hear him explain how his system is not NFT.

Just another aero that falls short. That mist was coarser than I'd want- on top of all the other shortcomings.

Posted to that video, I don't recommend individuals selling systems, AgriHouse as far as I know owns and actively licenses aeroponic technology, they own SEVERAL PATENTS AND TRADEMARKS. I don't know if it's legally advisable without consulting them first.

Ok guys I'm using yED a fantastic free diagramming program that blows visio out of the water, I have the vast majority of my components diagrammed, I am a little clueless on a few of the interconnection points.

On the mountable pressure gauge that's been discussed from Graingers is the connection on that NPTM or NPTF? major difference, I'm assuming it's like MIP and F but... I can't source connections until I'm certain, and I can't find it myself.

And for the accumulator, I'm going with an Amtrol ST-12, I believe r0m was using one, if he'd be so kind or someone else in the know, what is the out connection? I'm reading the PDF it depicts what it appears to say 3/4" but what it depicts for the out through the bottom as depicted does not appear 3/4" can someone confirm what it's, you would help infinitely in sourcing.

To whoever is using 1/4" JG or equivalent tee's, I found one's that go to a 1/8" NPTM, if you know a NPTF x NPTF in 1/8" then we could easily connect those depicted 1/8" NPTM misters from cloud tops.

Thanks again for all the help, once I have this finished I will post the diagram for anyone that wants to have a visual depiction in details with an easy to follow parts list, I'm debating whether to give credit to all involved including myself or should it just be an anonymous diagram, I don't want to steal credit at all, merely educate, since you guys were so instrumental in me decided to follow this route. I'm using the ST-5, it has a 3/4 NPT male stainless connection. I would bet that the ST-12 is the same. What size did TB buy?
Ah, it says yours on the PDF, so I'm assuming it's both ends, because your model shows the same deceptive thing in the PDF.

well that settles that connection.

It's a shame there's no way to run an in line pressure gauge, I was thinking of a JG 3/8" x NPTF + NPTM bulkhead + NPTF + JG into the gauge and another adaptor.... I guess running cvs would do the same for these bigger connections, this is where the fittings costs start to kill. I think I'm going to look for another connection.

Hey how do you guys hook your tanks into the pressure relief valve?

Do you need a pressure gauge after the pressure switch? I could simply things by getting rid of it.

I reduce the 3/4 NPT to 1/4 NPT using a threaded reducer bushing (I only found them at OSH), then I use a 1/4NPT to 1/4 Push fit to connect them to the rest of the system. You can sort of see one in the pictures of my cab where the accumulator is attached to the system. look at the top of this picture:

You need one somewhere before the pressure regulator at least temporarily, otherwise how are you going to adjust the pressure switch?

the pressure gauges have a male NPT connection...last night i was rethinking my bill of materials for my own setup...i ended up moving away from the gauges from grainger....in their parts description it says there is some brass/bronze in the construction and im not sure if it is a wetted part or not but im not going to risk it...im on the hunt for a cheap all stainless flanged or panel mount gauge...the ones ive found so far are at least $70 :(

Ideally you should have one permanently installed so you can see any pressure issues at a glance. I have one to monitor the tank pressure and another built into the pressure regulator that monitors the pressure from the regulator to the solenoids. You can`t set or check the regulator pressure without a gauge ;)
Agrihouse/stoner commercialised aeroponics but it had already been around in one form or another for 30 years prior to that. The roots shown on the Agrihouse website are no better than NASA`s, no real surprise as they use the same parameters.

No need to credit anyone, at least as i speak for myself. I would ask you to think before posting it, because if you have really read all of the information, you have not comprehended it, and crediting me or the people I am trying to follow would be incorrect. Now don't get me wrong, I am not at all jabbing at you, but just saying that after reading most of your posts I get 2 feelings. 1) is that your a smart guy and definitely interested in the topic. 2) you're worried about a bunch of other details and entriely missing the whole point of this thread, which is to do aero right for the best results. This doesn't mean following any commercial aero people, because none of them post any pics like the ones I'm trying to reproduce. I haven't been around to set the record straight on alot of your posts, but I'll try my best in the future if you indicate you are truly interested in this particular way of aero. This thread is supposed to teach people a very unique way to do aero, which is quite different than most anything else out there except from the threads the info was borrowed/condensed from. If you truly want to achieve these results, then I am interested in trying to help get you to understand stuff the way I do. But it's like a giant task where I don't know where to start from because I think your foundation is flawed. I recommend reading tree farmers plug n play pod thread if you haven't. It seems to be filled with wisdom far beyond what is in Stoner's systems. Again, I am only trying to help you, and keep the people who read this thread from being misdirected away from the principles that I personally believe are so important. I want us all to succeed with our systems, and all the money and work we are putting into them. I get no pleasure out of watching people deviate from the concepts, just to realize they wasted alot of money and time and get results far from what they were imagining. I also don't expect you to listen to this advice if you don't like it. I only want you to understand that you are off track in alot of ways (if it is truly your intention to follow this particular way of doing aero) which I'd assume is why you are posting in this thread. ;)

Whohoo! The JG fittings I needed to connect my pump inline arrived. I will finally be getting around to doing a mist test very soon- and hopefully build this damn thing once and for all. I apologize for hardly being around to support all the poeple who've shown interest in this, and I really hope to be able to trudge on and revive this thread to get back on topic. Until I actually get mine going, I'm just another guy repeating things I read from other people without the actual expereice being my own. And I really hope my experiences will back up my thoughts! :D

In the meanwhile, I will be trying to check in here on a normal basis again and maintaining the thread to some degree...

r0m and BD have mentioned the pressure switch, and relief valve, and their gauges, and what they were going to try to use, other than that no other thread has specifically talked about these parts, their connection types and sizes, or where you would source them.

Honestly I've read all those threads and I do feel a little offended, this is not rocket science, here is a the system mock up

Res - > Filter -> Pump -> Pressure Switch + Gauge -> Tank -> Relief Valve + Gauge -> Y or Solenoid(s) -> Solenoid(s) or Y -> Lines + Elbows or Tees, or Straights, ETC + Misters. Outside of specifics very easy concept.

Again thanks for the help, once I have a complete list of parts that I can verify I'll post for those that are having the problems I went through finding parts.

You better get goin, or you're going to have to re-title this thread true hp aero for 2012, lol. I'm still struggling with clones at the moment. Getting closer though. Can't wait to get your opinion on the bio nozzles. Should be soon!

We prefer community or group. You seem to be interested enough, I'm surprised no one has offered you any cool-aid yet?

Just out of curiosity, does Botanicare, C.A.P, GH, atomix, all pay royalties to AgriHouse for marketing their systems as "Aeroponics"? Exactly what patents are we infringing upon? Mist duration? Droplet size? Hydraulic nozzles? Pump pressures? Suspended root systems? Did they patent the name "Aeroponics"? Ill tell you what, under the right conditions, I would market the hell out of my system. No offense is intended in any of this, but I would like to know exactly what designs or parameters they have patented. I can guarantee they don't have a design resembling my personal system, and in the unlikely event that they do, it would be quite easy for me to bypass their hurdles. After all, this is Agrihouse were talking about, not Monsanto.

Yea, my first attempt at cloning has been less than I had hoped for too, about to start another round with some changes that I hope will improve my results.

Can't wait to get your opinion on the bio nozzles. Should be soon!
I'm thinking of trying those DIG nozzles in my cloner. Didn't you say you got your nozzles locally? I can't find DIG nozzles at any of the big box hardware stores. Are you using the barb or 10-32 attachment? How are you attaching them to the JG tube?
