Well, actually, the pixelating/blurring of porn in Japan is thanks to the USA. Before that normal porn and nudity was very common and acceptable in Japan, including walking around topless and beautiful erotica/porn paintings and books. To adjust to Western (read christian american) society after the war, they got very prude.
