Trump To Turn Himself In

Everybody's enthusiasm is admirable and nobody wants to see the asshole suffer more than me.
But the sad reality is that nothing will happen today and he'll never serve one day in jail for anything he has done.
I just don't give a fuck, honestly....He is an evil piece of shit, and should finish out his life in an orange jumpsuit, in a one man cell, with no internet access...
But the real danger now is the magat republican senators and house members who aided his plot, the state level bureaucrats who made out the slates of fake electors, the state level republicans who agreed to be those fake electors...
Trump is a washed up old man, he should be punished for what he did, but he isn't a credible threat anymore. Those republicans who helped him still are a very credible threat.

you do realize that there are multiple investigations going on, which are only vaguely connected?
The ones with the worst consequences are the federal cases, the documents and insurrection, but those could both potentially be charges that might be pardoned by a future republican president, assuming there are enough stupid people left to elect another republican president during my lifetime...
The state level charges cannot be pardoned by a future president, and there are more challenges for a governor to pardon him at the state level, and it's highly unlikely New York or Georgia will have a republican governor inclined to do so anytime in the immediate future.
hopefully this is just bases being covered, small shit being taken care of before they get down to the big job.
Jack is still working over Trump's lawyers over the documents case, so it explains the delay there. The J6 case is massive, and he will want to crack Mark first and gather some rats, that will come after the documents case. Georgia could be very serious for Trump, involving serious time and worse for the GOP in Georgia and federally since the trial would be on TV. There would be problems pardoning Trump in Georgia because of the pardon system they have setup.

I'm in no rush to see Donald incarcerated, I think he has important work to do first, having him under indictment and running around loose would be ideal and torpedo Meatball Ron's run for the nomination. Having him do a bull moose candidacy would be ideal, especially if he endorsed candidates or walked his base out of the GOP in spite or as a loyalty test.

Look at it this way, both the republican party and foxnews followed Donald off the cliff and into the abyss, the democrats could use it to damage the republicans and destroy foxnews, cutting the culture wars off at its source. If Donald pulls the GOP to the extreme and turns it into a divided circus and clown show before the election, so much the better. Many GOP politicians will have a court date before the 24 election IMHO. The democrats need not to just win an election cycle, they need to take effective action when empowered to secure liberal democracy in America, that is what it is really about. Donald's downfall along with his minions and allies is part of that process of securing liberal democracy but winning the presidency and congress by enough in 24 is more important, both for securing the rule of law and getting the full measure of justice. The republicans are unfit and a threat to democracy, the rule of law, the constitution and the founding ethos of the nation. Compared to that, letting Donald sow mayhem and chaos among them before the election is not such a bad thing, while the wheels of justice grind slowly with the speed controller in Jack's hands.

I see no benefit in having a former President of the United States arrested and cuffed going to jail. Regardless of what some think is justice the image on the world stage is just a spectacle this country doesn't need. It would undermine the credibility of our soldiers abroad.
So we worry more about how we look to the world than to bringing people to Justice? Tell that to J6 family members.

This whole thing will weed out the scum from the Republican Party.

trumps already tarnished Americas image. Locking him now after the fact isn't going to change anything.
It will show the world ya crawled out of the gutter, picked yerself up and brushed the shit off yerself and now live by the rule of law, which nobody is above. It will do wonders for America's image abroad and restore faith in the law among the population.

It will restore hope and optimism to you, that there is justice in America, and it should make you happy.

I’m guessing the indictment comes down next week. What day could be considered the opposite of Tuesday?
Fox is no longer Trump friendly and have white hot heat on themselves right now, fox might be fucked along with Trump. That gives cause for hope and would be a serious blow to the culture wars on the eve of the election.
