This business in NY is just the appetizer, the soup before the main meal of schadenfreude. It will break the ice and the hits will keep coming, out of NY too, they are not done with Donald or his company by a long shot. The main event will be in Georgia I figure, the TV trial with republicans testifying against him to his face on national TV, that will be the most important, federal trials aren't televised. Justice must not just be done, it must be seen to be done.

The hush money case is the weakest of the major allegations against Trump. Democratic VP candidate John Edwards was acquitted on similar facts. I would have preferred that the Georgia case or the fake electors cases would have gone first or at least at the same time. That might still happen. If there were multiple charges in multiple districts, that would make it harder for the Roger Stones and Steve Bannons of the GOP to organize their civil warriors. And it would blunt the claims of political prosecution.

They tell him (others like him) in advance for two reasons 1) Affairs in order that the wealthy seem to need time for 2) Avoid them coming after you (OJ was a bad look).

Charges to be filed Monday for a Tuesday pick-up.

Changing the outcome of an election is pretty serious. Not letting folks know about his infidelities is the same thing as lying; it's withholding truth.

Joe seems pretty forward leaning to me and as long as he still has his marbles, he should do fine, he has experience and wisdom, something needed in these trying times. Remember IQ is a quotient and it's your total score divided by your age and that's where the wisdom and experience part come into play. So far Joe has got Vlad by the balls and is kicking his ass, not kissing it like Trump or most republicans, beating up on Russia would be unpopular among some of the base and they can't afford to lose anybody. The most radical elements of the GOP control them and even Mitch would knuckle under to them not to be so hard on Russia. FDR died in harness and Joe is in a Helluva lot better shape than he was in when he was elected for the last time, that's what VPs are for.

Ya need to eliminate the threat of fascism or beat it back a bit first before worrying about presidential beauty contests. America is in peril if the MAGATs gain power, it's that simple. Joe cut his teeth on the cold war and knows how the game is played and the international scene is at an inflexion point too, so a steady hand and sound judgement are required. Is it coincident that both Donald and Vlad are indicted on about the same day?

A NY jury might might not be inclined to assume a less guilty motive for the hush money payment given Trump's history of shady dealings in NY. So, the prosecution has that going for them. Trump's lawyer previewed the John Edwards defense with Ari Melber a couple of days ago. Trump's fear of Melania is his claimed motive for the payout to S Daniels - definitely not to save his presidential campaign.

Trump would not make a huge statement like that without definitive date..he's the Master of 'in two weeks'.

He's already been calmed by his attorney and told him everything's that's going to happen step by step.

That he'll be out as soon as he makes bond just like Weisselberg was.
