Well some follow-up and further information request for Panama Red.

Looked in depth for Snow High both John and double Panama. Now have added interest in his other landraces (sativa) Only Snow High seeds in stock seen so far crosses. Sounds like nice crosses but I my goal to preserve genetics unmolested. Kind of like doing something for the good Karma. So if someone see's US seed bank with his Landrace strains please message me. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

So no return to my inquiring email (no failure Damon either. Backtracking down Johns web presence and tried email to 7 ACRES Johns company before bought by Canopy. Response from 7 ACRES.
"unfortunately we are unable to disclose any information to your inquiry" plus added statement " we advise to use other means to contact John"
Not a dead end but a detour for those with tenacity.

So by chance does someone have personal relationship that can reach out to him or myself with another option form of communication?

Message I would like to get to him. Genetic preservation for the future. My goal, from his podcast his as well.

John has some health issues and sometimes has bad flare ups. He sometimes takes a few days to respond to an email as a result of this but has always gotten back to me.

I didnt know John had a podcast, never heard of Canopy or 7 Acres either.

The contact i have for John of Snowhigh / Legendary Genetix is genetixgenius@gmail.com
Always got replies generally in the same day when i emailed asking current in stock selections.

Its probably going to be difficult to find pure bred in stock, those generally get snatched up pretty quick.

Have some Panama Red Growing right now. A few from Hippie Cannabis Genetics and a few from Pride of the Lion Seeds. The 71 Panama has wider leaves and I think Dr Grinspoon's looks just like the heirloom from POTLS. Am crossing them both to increase diversity for this preservation. Working on quite a few landrace preservations and some are available now.

Thanks for the link.
Scored Snowhigh seeds so good on my quest. Took quite a while due to email Damon failures. Johns inbox overflow the root causal. Once contacted communication and transaction went well. Actually pretty good thread here. I have had couple PM concerning seed with stories about fathers leaving seeds to son when they stopped growing.
Enjoy your day BeCivil2all

Sorry to tell you....Panama Red is long gone -as are ALL the old landrace strains. Unfortunately, people can call anything anything they want these days. I learned this lesson the hard way. Everytime someone claimed they had Acapulco Gold or Panama Red or Columbian Gold, etc. I took the bait....and never once was any of it even close. It's just a name game. If you weren't alive and smoking those strains back in the 70's, then you will have no reference to go by -other than an old, historic name.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a couple ounces of Columbian Gold back in 1985 and I still haven't had a sativa high like that ever again!!! I was only 15 years old and my friends stepdad was an old time hippie and he heard him talking to his friends saying how his dealer got his hands on 10 pounds of some real Columbian Gold, so my buddy helped himself to some of his stepdad's Columbian Gold and split it with me!!! I have never laughed so much after smoking a joint of this weed in my life and after I went through a couple ounces of that Columbian Gold,
I have never had the pleasure of smoking it again and I wish I did!!! I see breeders and seed banks saying they have sativa landrace seeds for sale and I was told a long time ago that every real sativa landrace seed, whatever specific strain it may be, has been used or lost by now!!!

First I am curious why this popped up in new posting since there was none.

But speaking of Panama Red I purchased some seeds and believe it is close to a true example. Has none of the complex branching that the current strains have. It looks more like bamboo one main stalk and branches. The buds are small and airy and the plant is 12 to 15 feet tall. The buds on my sour diesel are the size of my arm.
