I found the studs n installed hooks my question is now....what is the best way to arrange the fan carbon filter n cool tubes??? Can all this be run off of a single outake fan?? Ie carbon filter duct work cool tube duct work cool tube then the outake fan connected to duct work out of the window..
Put the fan right next to the carbon filter, other wise yes.

In ur opinion dule 400 wouldn't be overkill in my 2x5 tub...im putting ply wood down so its more of a rectangle n gives more floor space..im deff looking at cool tubes and a carbon filter
yes, 800 in there could be overkill if not properly ventilated. but i have been on your shoes, so let me share.

if you do cool tubes or air cooled hoods, you can easily vent that all into the existing ceiling fan, making things super easy. as long as it is properly sealed, all you are doing is exhausting air that the lights made hot. nothing stinky gets sent into the neighborhood.

for the rest of it, here is what i would suggest: you need to use a carbon filter if smell is an issue, and you need a somewhat expensive fan that can move at least 250cfm through that carbon filter and out the window. although my bathroom did not have a window and i had to vent elsewhere, there is a good trick for venting out of a window without raising any suspicion. the idea is to get an old window AC unit, working or not, and install it such that the facade that others can see looks like an AC unit but is actually just a way for you to exhaust your carbon filter air.

intake fan is optional if you have a good exhaust system in place, but i would suggest something small like a PC fan or two.

if you have good ventilation, you can do 400s, but 250s will suffice and make life easier. and you are probably better off doing 10-12 SOG plants in that type of space rather than doing 35-40 lollipopped ones.

best of luck.

you can do it all out of a single exhaust point, but i would suggest two exhaust points, one for the not stinky cool tube air and one for the stinky air that goes through the carbon filter. you can run them both to the same window (since i just read you don't have exhaust fans in that bathroom (:cuss:)).

there is great debate about whether you should do stinky air--> carbon filter--> fan + duct work-->window or whether you should do stinky air--> fan + duct work--> carbon filter --> window, but either one will work if you have a strong enough fan and the right filter.

You are usually supposed to pull the air through the filter so cotton dust shield is actually used. I however push air through and it works fine, although it will get dirtier this way because the air isn't filtered going in to it.

The space is 70 cu ft....im just undecided as to how many fans to run....smell n noise r my biggest concerns...i deff dnt wabt ppl smellin anythin and I dont want it to sound like a factory....i have a friend who works in the hvac n design feild so he has been helping me with the noise problem...i have central air so theres nothing else in any other window...

Any suggestions on fan size? Im thinking about using a fan dedicated to the cool tube then a second fan dedicated to the carbon filter...runing duct for both to a window fan(type with 2 fans) and just attacht to it the back n push all air out of the window....bc I thought about using the fake ac unit but again central air and I dmt want it to look sketchy

I'm not sure how to post pics from your phone, I always load them on to my computer. Get at least a 400 cfm fan, you can't have too big and the more you pay will probably mean the quieter it is. How many plants are under those 4 lights? When I start my 4 plants under cfls I use 8 23w, usually I start under my 400w though.

You probably could run it all on one fan but of course 2 would be better. It does seem a little slow especially if there was no roots. Don't over water but in my experience jiffy pellets dry out fast. I don't like them and found that they didn't decompose and let the roots grow through like I wanted.

Im just thinking cost wise...i have money to put into the room but just my electric is almost 900 monthly without a grow room....im trying to put in as little cash as possible to get things started and add to the room over time...im not trying to skimp on anything I just want to start out with bare minimum so if one fan will work thts what I wanna do....tht being said should I still look at 400 cfm fan or should I go bigger....ive been trying not to over water so ive been watering 3 times daily filling up just the bottom of a bathroom dixie cup....but I looked today and 1 of 2 of the embrio leaves was shriveled up with a brown spot on the underside...i moved the light further up thinking it was a burn....so I misted down the jiffy pellet n the leaves n sprayed the top of my humidty dome....the other leaf is a real nice green...i want to transplant the Jiffy pellet right into my ffof but since you said the roots dont grow throu what should I do

Just transplant like normal, or you could cut those jiffy pots down the side a little to make it a bit easier.

if you get a 400 watt lumatek ballast (or any other dimmable ballast) you can run 400 watt hps bulbs at 250 watt...if you see that you have electricity to spare, you can just set it to 75% or 100%...gives you better control over your electricity use. Have you considered using any side lighting? either cfl, induction, LED, or UV?

I was looking online to purchase a whole light kit including ballast reflector and socket and light bulbs...around 150 for a 400w...buy 2 of these and if needed I will use cfl for side lighting...im still having upload promblems I have 10 pics to post...it looks like the one embrio leaf shriveled up and died and turned brown but the other leaf is nice green with a yellow spot in the middle...the first set out true leaves are growing out of the center but there not growimg quick at all....i dnt know whats gone wrong ive never had this problem in the past

Just a few update pics there blurry as he'll had to use a old camera...the ones I took with my phone are a lot clearer but I couldn't get it to work...pic 1 is my light set up just to start seedlings they will soon be replaced with the 800w hps...pic 2-4 is of the seedling I'm having the most trouble with it's somewhat hard to see but the one leaf is shriveled up and the other leaf is nice green with yellow spot in the middle...and the last pic is of the bathtub with trash bags taped up to seal it off a lil bit....this will also be replaced with panda film
