U N H A P P Y Plant Whats Wrong

"Plants look pretty healthy now...... What is your temp? What lights you under? Ventilation?"

The temps are 20-36 (55-100)... yeah pretty high.

Humidity 15-30%!!! can't keep it humid in there with the HID lamp on, I have 2 towels in there hanging up that I wet twice a day and they dry out by the next watering (about 2 litres a day evapourated)
It must be sucked out straight away

I have a 150mm (6") exhaust fan 6" intake (no fan) air is pulled from my sub floor which is very cold air... maybe dry air haven't checked humidity under there.

Lights. I have a 600w HPS currently about 2 feet from tops
I have 10 cfl's @ 6500k though I don't really use them anymore with the HID

Thanks maseo

I would definitely address your heat and cold problems, both of which will cause slow growth, slow maturity, and stress. Maybe try to not use the subfloor air during winter, or keep your exhaust fans on timers. I have the same problem with my subfloor passive air system right now.
As soon as the plants become larger, the humidity will go up to around 45%.

The easiest fix for your WHOLE room is to buy a Swamp Cooler. Bring your day temps down, humidity up, only use the exhaust and turn the intake into a passive system so your not flooding the room w cold air. Or just use timers for the fans. In any event, the swamp cooler is only like $200.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness reply, I just got tons of ideas at once. yea.

i keep my lights 2ft off my plants for the first 2 weeks of flower... well the first week its about 2ft, hen by the second week i'm having to raise it up a bit, cuz my plants grew a foot... seee in the begging of flower, you want the light 1.5 - 2 feet over the plants, then as flower goes on the light gets closer.. r at least thats what i do...

my plants then will stretch out... so instead of having 7" tall plants you will have 1.5 to 2 ft tall plants, at the end of the first 2 weeks of flower, then after that 2 weeks is up, the plants will start filling out with bud... its kinda like a person... when i was a kid (14 to 18 ) i got tall and lanky... now that i am .... older.... i've filled out... i'm still the same height, but i weight 30 pounds or so more.... your plants will do the same thing... they will stetch out, the fatten up, if you have the light too close, during the begging of flower... stuff willl grow on top of one another, if the nodes on the plant stack too close, they will shade one antoher out.... think of you area..... 3ft by 4ft... you wnata fill that with bud... not just the squair feet tho, but also the cubic feet... so in the end you will have like a 2fthigh by 3ft wide by 4ft long cubic area filled with bud.... if you keep the light too close... the plants won't stretch enough... and you won't get the cubic area your looking for... just some food for thought.... i've run inton this before int he past, wer my leaves stacked right on top of one another, from keepthing the lights too close... i found out by raising the light it lets my plants ceperate out so i get more cubic area... now you don't want the plants to stretch out too much, but your not gona have that issue at this point.... ohhh another thing... there will be no reason to hang the CLF's in the room when the hps light comes on and you start flowering.. you can but.. i dout you will need it... from what your saing, if you start flowering today, your room will fill out for sure.... what strain area you growing?

Thanks DANK for your quick reply mate, your the dankest... how old are ya then, how long for you to chuck on those 30 lbs fat ass

So how high for the beginning of flower(fisrt 2 weeks) how high are you suggesting I have the light from the tops, in order to not stack the nodes up too much?

I'm interested to ask why you say I will fill out my room for sure if I flowered today... I dunno personally but I didn't expect this... fuck I hope it's true though, that would blow me!

Don't know the strain, between the 3 there is 2 different strains. Both from different bags of fun.

Thanks for joining in on my experience, I will use this thread for my grow, come for the ride if ya will :blsmoke: where u from Dank

MASEO, maybe I could pull my air from somewhere else in the winter, it would have to be the roof though, can get hot if any sun is out and heats roof space easy...
See, if a pull air from the roof, say it is 25 degrees in there, compared to 15 in sub floor... my temp may raise to 40-45 instead of the 37ish max it is currently. Good thought of the more humid air up there though, dunno if it will fuck the temp in exchange for humid air

I dunno what a swamp cooler is mate, I will have a look on google and soon find out.
I don't have an intake fan currently, I let the pull of the exhaust drag the air in, i'm thinkin of maybe using an 8" exhaust and using the current 6" for an exhaust in a veg/clone room I haven't built yet, maybe that will cool more at least and I don't waste my 6" fan. Haven't heard of passive air system is either :(

Mate, don't apologise for your conciousness thoughts, I love any input to my grow from anyone, can't have too many thoughts or suggestions budy, the more the better :)

The only issue I have with fan on timers and not on flat out is that my room is hot as it is without letting it boil while the fans aren't on, what do ya think?

Cheers Maseo appreciate your input

i'm from an undisclosed location with in the united states. i would keep the lights about 2 foot off the topw of the plants.. for the first 2 weeks of flower, well in the begging of the 2 week i would put it 2 feet off the tops, and let them stretch out a bit.. expechialy yours, cuz you want some stretch... now that your just going into flower, you can also nip the tops of the plants.. if you want bushes thats what way to do it, right at the end of veg nip the tops... then all the arms will get supper beefy... but figure it like this... if you have a branch on your plant right now, that is 5 inches long.. at the end of flower its going to be 15 inches long... now from what your sasying this is bag seed... hope or your sake its good bag seed here bag seed isn normaly some kinda out door nasty.. icky.. blah.. it just dons't do what you want it to always, cuz the plants are for out doors climates mass production style.. lets hope bag seed in your country is better then in mine.. considering you have good bag seed.. which preatty much all other countries doo.. then if you want to keep the plants short nip the tops... other wise let them go, but figure there going to get way bigger during flower... like the frist 2 weeks of flower they will take off..
then they will filll out for the next 4 weeks, then the last 2 weeks they will finish matchureing

The bagseed came from hydro, dunno for sure but pretty much as the hooch around here is.

The only thing I have against nipping the top is that I have been told by my hydro man is that I may not get the amount of bud of the two tops than 1 main cola...

I will put them into flower soon, at the moment they are approx 10-12" tall. I have say 30-35" of height to play with allowing the 2 feet needed to be off the lamp. Going by this I guess if I do flowr soon it should fill out hey?

I have one female for sure going by my untrained eye, two I am not sure, have a look at the pics and let me know what you think of the sexes.

The definite female is the one with the 3 leaf sets per node, how exciting... If I top that bitch I wonder if it branches and keeps that characteristic or if it will stop? Approx the last 6 sets have been triples.

im not sure if they will carry that characteristic if you top. i am at day 43 from sprout. i used a 250w mh for veg and they are now bathing under 1200 w of hps. i topped my 2 plants on the left and i am excited to see the 2 big colas come off em. i have 6 ww females. if you only have one female i wouldnt top it just to kinda have a control for an experiment. if you have 2 females top one of the and see how your results come out. good luck bro!
