Uber considering flying cars, should government "allow" this to happen?

The topic was less about Uber and more about possibility and what the boundaries of travel should be.

I realize if there aren't pictures that your comprehension may suffer.
You can fly now if you want but there's rules and a license involved.

Inb4 Rob says it's unjust the Govt won't let him fly an Apache Helicopter, so unjust it's akin to rape and slavery; slapery we'll call it.

Uber sucks.

Flying cars are a dumb idea.

Government doesn't have the right to forcibly coerce us to fly cars. And cars don't have the right to fly, forcibly, in the air.

Forcibly erect.

May the forceable coercion be with you.

Have you considered that if flying cars (which are technologically possible now) became too prevalent, that government wouldn't want people to have them simply because it is a form of freedom that control freaks would melt down over?

According to an article written by Brad Stone a former NASA engineer has joined Uber and will be working on developing flying cars.

How much or how little should this be "allowed" to happen and what are the positive and negative consequences of flying car technology coming into common use ?

Enjoy.
I would like to have flying car very very much!! I hope to try one soon!! It would be like the Jetsons! That looks like fun.:razz:there will have to be a lot of clear cutting trees out of the way? There's a lot to coincided for the parking stations . A lot of infrastructure will need to be built . I don't see it happening very soon unfortunately

You can buy a tiny one person helicopter now.

Have at it, what's stopping you?

Why are you always wishing to discuss perceived governmental control and nothing else?

NO. Even if it were possible, I still wouldn't support flying cars. We already have enough safety issues with ground based cars. Imagine sitting at home having dinner when a flying car crashes through the roof killing your family because the driver was txting somebody.

If flying cars ever become a reality, they should require all the licensing and training that being a pilot requires. Then I would call them personal airplanes rather than flying cars.
