Ugly Duckling Seedling

Ever have a pretty funky looking sprout that you were just about ready to pull come on strong and kick ass over other ones that looked good right from the start ??

Many times over the years I have had a plant now and then that looked deformed while small or seemed like the runt that would never grow … and then one day they took off faster than Wile E. Coyote with his butt glue-gunned to an Acme rocket and they ended up my best plant.

Never give up on a plant to soon. As long as it is not diseased and likely to spread it to other plants when you are ready to give up on it, give it one more week. Sometimes they never turn into much but many will surprise you often enough that it is worth doing a few things different or extra if needed due to their early difference and giving them more time to come around.

I've had that experience before too. Had one that just wouldn't do anything for about 2-3 weeks and it looked weird, then all of the sudden one day it just took off like a rocket and i couldn't believe how much it grew in no time at all. Made a lot of great clones from that one. But it could be dud too. Just give it chance like brick said.

Just as in sports... it ain't over till it's over.

Sometimes they grow crazy mad, keep it, use it as a learning tool.

The seedling just never grew and leaves other than the round leaves. When the other three seedlings became more mature and still this guy didn't.......I got rid of her

Maybe you didn't play enough Gorillaz tunes to her.

I play STS9 not the Gorillaz.....and only during flowering.

Never had a freaky sprout like that maybe because i dont play them music.

Just don't play anything from the movie "little shop of horrors"....

Shes much better now, but growing up she was quite a weird little mutant runt! She grew up in a little fist/ball shape for the longest time, while her sisters were growing up like they should. She stopped growing the last few weeks and I was dumb and stopped feeding a 12 days ago, but I got her back on nutes and I'm hoping she will forgive me over the next couple weeks.

I bet she smokes up nicely!!!!
