Hey bro,
If you are just going to plug into an existing dryer outlet or something I can show you how to wire a control box up pretty damn quickly. Hell, I could even show you how to just hard wire a new line if your interested.

I just built a new light controller for 9200 watts and I am in the process of building another for 18k of light that includes a high temperature cut off and 15 minute delay upon power interruption.
Awesome man you should definatly help me out if possible, I have a new 2 pole 40 amp fuse for my fuse box but I Think i am going to get a 2 pole 60 amp, We want to add it into our existing fuse box we know we have to get the right type of fuse & everything to match our house / fuse box the guy at the grow shop tried to explain it to us it just sounded over my head for something that needs to be done perfectly. I don't want this room catching fire or something so i figured id hire an electrician for it. Now after figuring out how much draw is going to be in that room I am going to get a bigger amp fuse though if possible, Then he said we basically needed the wire to run from the fuse box in our house to the timed plug box in the grow room & that is really all that was too it ??

But what we basically want to do is add in a 2 pole 60 amp fuse for that room alone & wire it up to our new box that has a timer, 4 240v timed outputs & 2 120v non timed out puts

55-67 days seed finder says for both strains so I am assuming some ware in there :) Yup the stretch is over & little buds are starting to form, Thank god too because I was running out of vertical height :) Vanilla kush is deffinately a strain that needs almost no veg period, I wouldn't go over 2 weeks veg If i ever re-do this strain.

Thanks for the kind words man make sure to subscribe to our youtube channel & like this thread :)

And also how did you like the vanillakush so far is it a pretty forgiving strain does it like a lot of nutrients or does it like it kind of light? I'm pretty sure I will definently be running it in the future

Very easy to grow, Very vigorous growth rate & can take the nutrients fairly well. up at 1,000 ppm and its in under current as u can see witch usually means lower ppm's but they are loving the high level's.

If you let me know how many lights your running I can help you out. You have to remember that 85% constant load rule which applies to grow lights and anything drawing constant amps. So.. 12/2 20 amp wire can only really run 18amps constant. 10/2 30 amp line = 25.5 amps. 8/2 40 amp wire..35. If your going to run more than 8k watts then you really have to switch over to "the big boy" light controller. Which is basically running power to a separate power panel and then having a couple 20 or 30 amp fuses in that panel, each one connected to 4-5 lights.

Doesn't really matter how many lights, or circuits, as they are all turned on by individual relays that are all powered by one timer. I just got the parts for my new panel but it will be awhile before I build it up. It is going to pretty cool though as if it gets too hot (90 degrees), it will shut 15 of the 18 lights off until the temperature drops down to 80. If your running a big operation, those kind of safe guards are mandatory because as you know.... shit happens.

Damn man sounds like a awesome setup your working on. This room will be 6 lights when all said and done, maybe even just 4 it all depends. either way I don't think I would need a separate sub panel for that would I ?? maybe I would after all said and done, Lights, A/C, Fans. What would you recommend ?

Btw I got a indoor portable 14,000 BTU A/C that vents out the window. It gets cold FAST. I don't even need to run it all the time with the 2400w I have now. It draws 13 amps though, Or at least that's what it says. So maybe that info will help u as well help me plan this hole electrical upgrade out. Thanks brother !

Jesus those portables are soooo damn inefficient. There is a reason they are not seer rated.
Anywho... So a 13 amp max AC and 4 or 6 lights? We are talking 1k lights right?

Could I just swap out the exsisting 15 amp single pole fuse for a dual pole 40 amp fuse for that room & then also add in another dual pole 40 amp fuse for the 240v timed box I have to install in the grow room ??

io dont know if the current wiring would support that are you running a new line into the room? stopping in mid conversation sorry if its already metioned

Yes we are running a new line to the room with a 240v box that has 4 timed outlets on 240 then 2 untimed outlets on 120v. I was just curious if i could also ugprade the current fuse for that room to beef it up.

Is all I would have to do is run new 40 amp wire for that room instead of the wire that would be from the existing 15 amp fuse to that room ?
