Underrated strains. Underhyped strains that produce the goods.

Music is all marketing.
[ I can't resist]

I get what you're saying, but I'd say that music 'stars' are often a result of marketing.

But music is all about talent. You've probably never heard of this former lead singer/guitarist for an extremely successful 70s/80s/90s band. With or without the band, this cat makes music. And who else is doing accoustic Hendrix covers in their solo sets?

Exactly. And it could be argued the herb 'stars' are also a result of marketing and hype.

and just like that ultra talented musician we never heard of, there are countless others. Musicians and strains. :)

Right, but you'll buy a $300 pack of untested seeds that you can't afford and force your poor wife to live on Ramen noodles for a month....cuz they're "cool".

Are you 14? My daughter is the same way with shoes and clothes. She won't wear something if too many other people are wearing them. I suspect you'll both grow out of this...
Lolololololol! I remember that. :dunce::lol:

Truth, to some degree. Maybe High Times made Barneys and GHS and other crap sellers 'stars'. You [I assume] and I and many others bought their CDs and got garbage, so we don't have their posters hanging any longer, ya know? They were found out to be talentless hacks when they had to perform live and in person - aka producing good buds.

But unlike the mega star culture wasteland that is 2016 entertainment , weed stars, for most folks, have to deliver the goods - like that Glenn Tilbrook cat - to be a star, and remain one. :eyesmoke:

I guess we'll have to wait 10 or so years to see if the cookies and breaths are Glen Tillbrook or just a 1 hit wonder. ;-)

i ran pure kush from ghs and while never trying a true og kush i cant say whethor it was related it was very fun to grow. It was a pleasure to trim, leaves so crisp and sticking out like a succulent leaves but only yeilded in my small setup about 1/2 oz per plant in 8 litre pots. 8 weeks finish."Didnt have legs"- was one comment. "most relaxing stone" was another.

White rhino from nirvana, always been a fan but havent grown it in over ten years, same for blue mystic, which had several phenos, one huge yeilding one super crystally and beautiful llooking plant and a few shitty low potent ones. Grew bubblicious which i rated for its crytals and yeild and stature except the high didnt seem to last long compared to white rhino which would get you stoned for at least 3 hours.i have a recent pack of nirvana WR but havent grown it.

Violator kush,(barneys) only grew 2 out of 3 seeds, one i kept running from clone even though everyone hated it and thought i spiked it with chemicals, it may have been the old medium i kept recycling but one pheno was dog shit. looked good yeild wise and crystally but tasted like crap and didnt get you stoned.
The other pheno was dark green and i didnt bother cloning. A friend smoked the whole lot and said it was the best smoke he has ever had (veteran) it only yeilded about a 1/4 oz as i flowered it from seedling. violator would be perfect for vertical sog or a low height flat scrog as its the smallest plant ive ever grown.and pretty much buds from tip to pots all coonnected.
Might give that one a try again but im afraid of the shitty pheno.

I REAAAALLY like making seeds that nobody else has..
just crossed a frosty pink lotus male with a sour lemon og that tastes JUST like bubble gum..
Gotta remember... economics 101.
Supply and demand.

Nirvana northern lights was one hell of a plant. Easily endured below freezing to above 100 degree temps. Damn near grew it's self. Smelled like someone stored a bunch of grapes in a cedar chest, good yields and stoney as hell.

There has been some debate over whom has the best original bubblegum line, but my thseeds bg was a good easy to grow, sweet smelling and tasting plant. It did not grow as an indica dom plant as the breeder stated though, far more sativa than what I was led to believe.

The best bubblegum cuttings I have seen grown/smoked have been solidly hybrid, I would call it 60/40 on the Sativa side. Thanks for the review, I've been interested in a good NL seed, classic smoke. Also looking for a good Jack Herer variation.

Here's a picture of my tent this morning, pretty much all of the tall colas are Strawberry Sour Diesel. She is the same size as the other three plants combined. I did a shitty job pruning this run, I think she'll kick as with a little more discipline.

She's 5-foot 4-inches tall with 3 weeks of veg, and 7 weeks into flower. Pretty radical, only 10 weeks from seed.
