I know that many people are going to scoff at this thread, and that there may even be those who will spew filth. Nonetheless, I see a lot of negativity on this website, as well as around the world. So, instead of joining in on the hatred and ignorance, I implore you all to come to this thread and discuss things and ideas. Mainly along the topic of assisting your fellow man. Whether it be helping an elderly person with grocery shopping, or planning social events in your communities. I just want to know how many compassionate humans are left. Thanks for those who sub or follow this thread in advance. Peace be with you always.

I've done that once. I also pick up cans and bottles on my in-laws' dirt road. And once a month I volunteer to help with gleaning.
And thanks for posting too.

Anybody know anything about organizing pro-marijuana events? I've been doing some research and I can't find anything. I'd love to organize an event in my area to spread the word of its benefits. Keep in mind, though, I live in a non-medical state. Only a decrim state.

I used to work at a charity farm and riding schoand assisting physically disable kids and play in a steelband offering workshops for kids who can't afford music tuition. I remember pleases and thankyous, hold doors open, carry people's groceries, catch buses for people and if I see an attractive lady I tell her so, or compliment what she's wearing. It seems to really make their day.

So this is it huh? It's just us in here who have compassion left? It's a sad sad world we live in. But, I digress. I decided I'm going to start a YouTube channel/Vlog. Gonna do some news reviews. Sounds lame, I know. But I will be smoking cannabis on it. For the most part. Lol. Gonna call it Talk N Toke. Bet y'all can't guess where I got the name from...........Lol.

i gave away a half p of nugs my last batch. it wasnt to anyone that had cancer or anything but i wish i could help someone like that. but it was to people that couldnt afford it, so i felt like i did a good deed. haha i try to do as much good as i can.. but i will say i dont often go out of my way like i should (help at food bank or whatever). I always donate when the opportunity presents its self. homeless person, or even a buck everytime at the grocery store for who the hell knows what. this counts as doing good right? id like to get rich and go travel to the less fortunate places of the world and help people out donating time or money or whatever necessary. just gota be a baller to do all that :\

That was pretty generous. A half pound of your stash to those in need, but unable to afford it. Just because it isn't garbage concoctions from Big Pharma, doesn't mean it isn't needed medication. And that would be a nice thing to do. Travel the world and help those in need. Just don't donate. Most of that shit goes to buying them new BMWs and high-dollar suits. I watched a documentary not too long ago on what most charities actually do with the money they collect. It's not very compassionate.
And just because you're not "big balla" status, doesn't mean that the smaller things you do don't matter. Because they do. By paying it forward, and showing care to others, it will eventually spread. And one act will start a domino effect and it will have turn into a series of acts by different people. And you would be the one who started it. I'm glad I started this thread. It can help bring us together and brainstorm about different things to do in our communities. War doesn't change the world. People with kindness and compassion do. I'm not saying we all gotta be friends on this planet. But if we could all learn to start caring about one another and helping each other out, it would make a hell of a difference.

the idiots are taking over. i feel infected with peoples stupidity most every time i leave the house. all you hear is gossip and talk of materialistic items that no one can really afford. Peoples measure success by how much STUFF you have and what kind of car you drive, not if you are a good person. passing judgement before they speak a word only by how you look. the truth is, there are not very many good people left, and the level of intelligence seems to be dropping. People dont know what its like to be apart of something anymore, they too stuck in there ipods and materialistic shit. technology, religion, and the american dreAM, is what has made us all stupid and have lost touch with what is really important. I hope there is a way to bring the good back in people, i try my best but it seems you get shit on more than anything. the worst thing of it all to me.. is that your word, means nothing anymore. everyone will screw each other over for a buck.

this is why i keep to myself, and try to help the good people along the way.

Unfortunately, that's the reality of things right now. It's all about materialism. And you're right that those who do good get shit on. We do all the time. But we must persevere. We must continue to do what is right. We must lead by example. Believe me, it's not easy. But eventually, it will come to the point where people will have no choice but to see what they're doing is wrong. You don't need a religion or a degree to awaken to the filth that we've committed against ourselves. We just need to open our eyes and see that there still is hope for ourselves as a being. Those of us who have opened our eyes will be the ones having to take the blindfolds off others. And we must be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day. And unfortunately, humanity won't be repaired in one either. I applaud those of you who have come here to this thread. Thank you for being leaders. Thank you for being a part of the solution.

I just wanted to chime in for a second. I hope everyone in this thread is having a great Labor Day weekend. I hope I don't sound arrogant (because it is far from my intentions, honestly), but I got to do some volunteer work for my community. I helped doing some park cleaning, and boy was it no fun. Lol. Can you believe I picked up 2 syringes. For real! Good thing I had on my leather gloves. Those things are thick. I mean, in a town of less than 1,000 people, needles? But then again, a big majority of people that live here are into the OxyContins bad. Screw that noise. Give me my weed, and a lil bit of beer. I was happy though, because I was trying to get a spot as a volunteer for like 2 weeks. And I almost didn't get it. But, yeah, I was excited, and wanted to share with my peers.

Thanks Beardo. I appreciate the rep. I only want to help fix this world in any way I can. I am generally a peaceful person, and I enjoy helping others when I can. And I know there are like-minded people out there, so I wanted to bring them all together. At least those on RIU. For the most part, growers and stoners alike, are generally good natured people. So I figured I would do a "call to arms" on here and get us involved in a conversation.
