Use toilet water.

Yeah, the place where you piss and stuff you know.

Have you ever wondered why animals would rather drink out of the toilet, or puddles in the driveway rather than their water dishes?
Because animals are driven away from the purification process us humans use for our drinking water.

Amen to that brother. The roots will not absorb the nutrients without the correct ph range. The guy who said ph is not so important must not have 8.2 ph tap water like I do. gaypezza, if you correct your ph and add nutes, your plant will recover in 3-4 days. You can use white vinegar from the grocery store to lower the ph. Better yet, go to Walmart and get the vinegar and the ph tester in the same trip. Look in the aquarium section for the tester drops.

yesterday i chopped off those 2 nasty yellow leaves( the biggest ones) and left the fan on for 24 hours and made some cO2 yeast sugar water shit and the leaves are standing up alot more now.

good news lol.

WHAT ABOUT THE PH?! Forget about all that other stuff until you fix your ph. Ventilation, CO2, and cutting fan leaves won't fix your problem.

AMEN!! Found this out for sure, oh yeah and PH your water AFTER you add nutrients (I found that they lower the PH, and sometimes a LOT). ANY time I am having issues with one of my babies, I check the run off water and just about EVERY time it is too low (in the low 5's, bright orange or sometimes a red with those PH test kits, the drops) Once I flush and get her back in the green they usually bounce back pretty nicely. I also notice slower growth from those plants with low PH.

PS. I try to keep my water around 6.5 ph it will lower a little once it goes through the soil.

well if it was ph then my problem would have happened ages ago.... and after doing all those things; cutting leaves, ventilating, and C02 the plant actually has gotten alot better.

Did you figure out what the issue was? They do look a LOT better now.

Maybe, you are in an area that has water already in an acceptable PH range.



But if you start having problems like this again...

I might be wrong on this and if so please somebody correct me (so I can learn more), but, my understanding is that young plants are not in as much need of nutrients vs water (wether you are using Hydro, Aero or Soil at the earliest stages you are not adding nutrients typically only water right?), so in early development PH is affecting the soil/medium your plants are in more than it is affecting your plant itself. In other words, since your plant isn't needing very much in the way of nutrients, lock out isn't as much of an issue and you don't see this as much in younger plants. Don't get me wrong, if your water's PH was off too much and was closer to battery acid or Hydrochloric Acid then pouring in the plant at ANY stage would probably kill it, but being off by 1-2% will not be as noticeable at the earliest stages of growth. But during this time your soil is soaking in this water and that water is affecting the soil's PH level, over time this can turn your good, well balanced soil mix into a deposit field for the nutrient(s) that the plant is not uploading and using, causing later problems when your plant is starting to need the nutrients that are building up in your soil. If unchecked and allowed to continue, it could get to a point that the plant starts experiencing lock out issues.
