Using the Honey Bee - Quick Question on Amount

First time going to try using the honey bee, anyone have any input on the amount of dry bud you pack into it for best results? I know there's a bunch of videos out there.. but experience has taught me that doing it - you learn that there are always tricks to it.

Grind the bud and fill (dont pack) the extractor about 80% full of herb. I always run at least 2 often 3 cans of butane for one chamber.

Thanks JG... I did buy a second hand coffee grinder just for the project... so don't I even "lightly" pack the HB? I'll be breaking it out tonight when I get back from work, so if you have a second - hopefully you'll check back... any other tips are welcomed please..\

Hey anonymuss... it looks pretty simple...I haven't used it yet, so I have no idea what I'm doing with it.. just looking forward to making some of my own and try it out.

Not even lightly.. just put in the herb a few pinches at a time and tap it to settle on a flat surface till its as full as you like. Can't say weight because there are different sized extractors, but mine uses about an oz.

Awesome.. Thanks again! What is average pull on an ounce? Just want to make sure I'm running enough butane - Much appreciated.

Between .5 and 2 grams depending on quality of product used.

Great - thanks. I know you can't give an "estimate", (I kinda wonder why no one busted my nuts for asking lol).. but at least I'll know if I'm in the ball park until I get a few runs under my belt.

IMO dotn grind the weed..cut it up like yur gonna roll a blunt. Yur finish product will be a lot clearer.

Hey Kulong... I did watch that one... I think that's the one that made me decide to buy the Honey Bee instead of making my own... BUT always a good note to make in any thread about anything is to link more info... thanks for adding that in case there's some others checking this out.

I did grind it... I haven't run it yet though.. so I don't have any idea (yet) what it'll look like.. but I'll let everyone know what the finished product looks like, and I'll try not grind it up next run and compare.. thanks for that too... tip that I wish I'd have heard an hour ago to look into further. But none the less.. next time I'll try it and update here

ok.. part of it (the stuff I started to scrape.. turned to like candy glass on the razor blade... now, I'm scraping the dish and it looks more like coke than BHO... what's going on?

once you re melt it it will be like the rest.

View attachment 1584733View attachment 1584754but it's ALL hard... (that's what she said)... like the first stuff is like little glass balls - rock hard, and the shit in the dish scrapes up.. but is all crystal-ly.
It doesn't scrape up like "goo" at all... what did I do wrong? pics up now....
