I'm also coming from an outside perspective too, so I see it all with tainted lenses. We just didn't have anywhere near as much of a political/social divide when it came to the whole mask/vaccine thing here, and the lockdowns were far less severe in duration and effect. Even in the thick of the heaviest lockdown here I could still go down to my local plaza, get a coffee, grab my shopping and have maccas every day. We were encouraged to go for a walk every day, just social distance. Shops were opened. Just had to wear a mask and check in.We have always been like this about vaccines

We had a few small protests against the mandates here in my state, but they weren't necessarily "anti vax" or "anti mask", they were more "anti police enforcement of lockdown" or "anti government overreach" protests. More about heavy handed police enforcement of public health orders that hadn't actually been passed as laws at the time, and never would be. Literally thousands of people being arrested for drinking a coffee in the park or laying on the beach by themselves and not a single one ended up actually charged, all thrown out in court immediately. Severe waste of police, judicial resources and taxpayer money.

I don’t trust the vibe because a vibe is almost always a subset of sentiment in me. When I try to frame a rational rebuttal, I keep encountering my sentiments. That is a problem. It is a recipe for self-delusion, and once the self is deluded there is no barrier to lying to anyone about anything.
So I’m a bit spooked right now, and am eyeing the limbic invitation to a sort of “holy rage”* with all the awful ambivalence of a Narcotics Anonymous member alone in a room with a kilo of white heroin base.

It's a fact that most the people you know who got the c-19 vaccine, were the ones who got sick, spread it, and seem to keep getting it over again.
More people who took the shot died than those that didn't.
The truth is, there is no shot for corona that will do anything to help you. You were straight up lied to, the whole time.

All trollituping aside..
My position is.. I'm on what is claimed to be a plant growing forum, and every time I click on "whats new", the feed is flooded with political posts, and there is no way to filter them out.
I notice (because curiosity gets the best of me) that the only active threads in that entire section are pretty much ran by the same small group of guys who are liberals. Anyone who is a left brain thinking conservative gets cancelled out by the mods, who seem to get off on using their powers here for political gain?. You guys haven't figured out that the reason no one ever responds is because they can't even post again, because this site is pretty far left on that meter you guys always refer too..
Well not really, because the majority of the people on RIU are conservative too, but they are more humble and don't want to get mixed up by responding.
Therefore, its mostly just you guys circle jerking each other all day about how bad the orange man is, and how taxing my kids kids over climate change is good. The sheer amount of electrical energy each one of you guys spend on the forums, projecting your own behaviors, could have actually saved a life (unlike the shots)..
