I am building my new grow room right now and I will have two rooms split. One for veg one for flower. I currently have my flower room built which is 9x9x7 and my veg room built which is 5x9x7. i am running two 1000 watts in the flowering room and 1 400W in the veg along with some cfl's for the clones...
The way that I figure my ventilation is by the following:
9x9x7 = 567
divide by 5 for the amount of time it should take to clean the room = 113.4 CFM required
So I will use a 200CFM exhaust blower for this room and I was thinking of just using a 200CFM for the veg room as well even though it is a little over sized for the vegetative room considering it is 5x9x7 which = 315, 315/5= 63CFM required
I will cut a hole in each room for intake air near the bottom or each room to allow for clean air intake from my basement. I am wondering how I should do the exhaust though...
Should I run the exhaust fans only for the lights or should I exhaust the whole room? Will the 200CFM fan keep 2, 1000 watt lights from heating my room to much if I just use the exhaust fan in the ceiling of my room vented outside through a carbon filter with out attaching any vent tubes to the light hoods? or should i vent the lights with the 200CFM fan and run a separate fan for the room itself or does that not even matter if I am venting the lights through the attachments on the hoods? I am confused on how to do this while being as efficient as I can with my money without sacrificing quality and yield.
Any advice on how to run the exhaust and maybe which fans/blowers you pros have had experience with. I am looking to keep it quiet, obviously so I was looking at the Vortec brand as they seem to be well known.
Please help where you can and thanks in advance RIU...
