warm air vs cold air humidifier

hey guys so I just started my closet grow room and I'm pretty sure I've got everything under control besides humidity, so seeing as how it's winter and I live in a freezing state it's not hard to control temp but with the air being so dry so is the room. So what I am thinking is have a warm air in the room when the lights are off and I keep my place cold so the plants do well under light with little ventalation, but when the lights are on I was thinking of doing a cool air but I am worried that the dry air being blown in from outside the humidifier will just be a waste so any suggestion? Thanks!

maybe a shallow pan or two of water next to the plant. It would really help if you could post the humidity and temps of the room in a 24 hour cycle to establish the amount of moisture the air can hold at a given time.

Id go with a warm air since you are in cold country.. The big vicks holds about 2 gallon and will run for about 18 hrs. on a filling, also has a humidity control. Wont had that much heat as its only around 900 watts I think. I have about a 6x8 grow room and it keeps mine nice and humid. They have all different sizes. It has a uv light to kill bacteria as well.

so my only worry is since I don't have a vent system and I will be leaving it on during with the lights you don't think it will leave the grow room or even mix with the dry air being brought in by fan? Or even get too warm with the lights on
