I do my first spray with Azatrol/Azamax. Then I find a good oil mix spray. I don't pay much attention to brand name. I look at the ingredients. I like a combination of rosemary oil, clove, etc. Really the more different types of oil the better IMO, but those that I mentioned seem to have the best staying power. Right now I'm using Zero Tolerance.
Then for the last couple sprays (killing off young mites as they hatch or the last new spores) I go for something lighter. Just a light mix of neem oil. Some of those oils really coat the leaves, especially azatrol. That's good for killing off unwanted parasites, but you don't want to over do it either. That's why I move to lighter sprays the more frequently I spray.
To make it simple, I'd go like this.
Spraying every other day:
spray 1) Azatrol/azamax following the instructions.
spray 2-3) Some rosemary oil based spray at full strength.
spray 4-6) water down that same spray to half strength
spray 7-8. neem oil at 3/4 recommended dosage.
spray 9-10) neem oil at 1/2 strength
If you do this in an atomizer you will not need to fear mites or pm. It is much better to do this in veg/early flowering. Although everything I use is food safe, it will leave a bad taste if you wait until late flowering to spray this heavily.

You'll love it. No more lifting up every leaf to spray the undersides. It's some ghostbusters shit. Stand several feet away, then aim and blast. It will provide the pressure to lift up all the leafs for you. And it sprays to such a fine mist that the stuff gets everywhere. It'll coat your whole room. Everything is quick and easy.

Also I do look at my leaves under a usb microscope. You can get them for $20-30. Not sure if they still carry it, but Toys R us had one for $20.
They look like this:
You definitely want to spray at least 5 times. After that it depends on the severity of your problem. But 10 sprays will kill absolutely everything.
With mites especially you just pick off 3-4 infected leaves and look at them under the microscope. If you see anything moving, keep spraying. Keep checking back every couple days to make sure no new eggs hatch.
PM isn't as difficult of an issue and should be gone by your 5th spray if you coat everything and give the infected leaves a good blasting.
Here's the Toys R Us version. It's not as awesome, but it'll do what you need it to do and it's only $20.

Yep. If you're doing a decent size grow it'll make life easier. Obviously if you're just doing one or two plants it's unnecessary, but if you've got a whole bunch it will save you a lot of time. I was spending ~3 hours each spray just trying to get both sides of every leaf on every plant. Now it takes me a few minutes.

I didn't actually buy at Green Acres I was just stopping in on my vending rounds and noticed that they'd stepped up alot. If you're into concentrates and like the GA selection definitely try out Capitola Healers, they have an even bigger selection and it's all $40/g or $20/halfgram.
I don't know when you were last in SCMN, but my first visit was very informative, the budtender yakked at me for a good 45 minutes and I learned alot about how they operate. I'm also a vendor so we spoke in depth about their buying policies. I can assure you they do not sell exclusively outdoor bud, although they do sell exclusively organic and exclusively soil grown buds, no hydroponics whatsoever. The majority of their bud comes from indoor cultivators growing with organic nutrient lines in good ol' 5 gallon buckets. Growrooms that aren't 'clean green' certified are inspected by SCMN's staff to make sure it is in fact strictly organic, and they like to cultivate relationships with growers, helping them to maximize their genetics. Their prices topped at $55 as well. I usually pick a strain without checking the price and end up paying $50 for an 8th. The vast majority of their bud is tested as well, whatever isn't tested at the moment is in the process of being tested. Idk, I've visited alot of the area clubs and these guys are the one I settled on honestly for no reason other than the bud is danker, stickier, fresher AND lab tested at high potency. They also toss every strain in an eigth jar on top of the counter so you can just pick through and sniff away till you find what you want without having to ask the budtender for a sniff of each strain, which I love soooo much.
I'd love to grab one of those foggers but I run a perpetual setup with a 3x3 for veg feeding four 4x4s and the fogger seems a bit excessive for the weekly blast into my 4x8 veg "chamber" (panda paper, 2x4s and gorilla tape
). I'd spend more time mixing the stuff up and getting the fogger to the zipper door than actually 'fogging'. Can't say it wouldn't be nice to blast everything 'clean' in ten seconds though, so I'm not ruling it out.My ultimate solution is sealing the grow. I'm getting an A/C anyways to deal with temps so I might as well seal up. Then I can crank up the Co2 and kill the fuggers off. Even if a gen won't get the levels high enough an extra tank setup to push them up every once in a while would be worth the expense.
As far as products go, I haven't tried azatrol but it's on the list. Serenade does nicely to handle the PM, honestly, and it only got out of hand when I stopped spraying a flowering crop cuz it is some stinky stuff. I ended up spraying close to the end anyways and a thorough showering seemed to keep em good and stanky.
Great advice on all fronts tho, man.

SCMN is one of the best clubs in the county, and they have both indoor and outdoor between $35 and $55 an eighth.
I've grown several strains from Granny Purps including Jack Herer, G13, G13-Haze, Blackberry Kush, Cherry AK-47, Sour D x Hindu Kush, and Afghan Kush.
In my experience their clones are generally healthy. The Afghan Kush was a disappointment for me as well in terms of genetics. It didn't really seem like a Kush to me to be honest. Also, I've pretty sure what they called G13 last year wasn't G13. I think it may have been G13-Haze, which I'm currently growing, so we'll see if it's the same in a couple months.
IMO, their clone selection is good -- not great, but good. Their bud prices are a fucking ripoff though. $440 a zip, are you kidding me?

Any plant deficient in potassium, or under high levels of stress can fall prey to powdery mildew, but a healthy stress free plant can fight it off no problem...Very often when I take clones they get it, but once they have roots and aren't so stressed it just goes away and I never see it again...so PM is not the end of the world...it is easily treatable....hell treat the plant right and you don't have to do anything for it...
And from what I hear most any clone you get from anywhere will end up giving you bugs and what not...I cut a few clones off a friend's plant myself not too long ago, and I was afraid that I would see bugs pop up just because I had brought a plant from somewhere else to my place...but luckily all was well...lol

The majority of their bud comes strait from Humboldt outdoor grows. I'd guess 80-90% of what they have comes from that. You can tell most of it comes from the same grow. Next time you're there look at the buds closely. Almost all of there strains have an identical trim. I'm not by any means saying it's bad bud. It's pretty decent OD. But still, it's basically in house OD being sold at indoor top dollar prices. That bugs me about them. But still, I don't mean to make it seem as if they are selling schwag or anything, they most certainly are not. It is what it is. Very good humboldt OD.
Well I've vended to them before and I assure you they've never been to my grow.
I'd still have to go with Granny Purps on that. Their bud is for the most part all indoor locally grown lab tested bud. I'm pretty sure all the clubs in SC lab test now aside from the two by Costco.
Yes, I really like that too. Angels care in Santa Clara does that as well. I also like that SCMN gives you your bud in glass jars instead of plastic bags. Nearly every club in Cali sells bud in some type of plastic container, which is a really bad way to store bud.

You'll get one soon. I don't think it's excessive for that grow at all. If you're spraying and still get nasty plagues like that which can dominate your grow that means when you're spraying it's very likely that you're not really coating the whole plant. Truly coating your whole grow will be time consuming. I know it seems ridiculous to spend that kind of money on a sprayer, but it's worth it to be bug free and do it very easily without any actually chemical pesticides.
Sealing your grow will do wonders for your environment. It's worth doing if you're already going to get an AC. I'd highly recommend it.
Best anti bug/mold product ever IMO. It really coats the leaves like nothing else and no nasty smell.
Yeah. It's really good for pretty much all molds. It just smells sooo nasty. I spray my OD with it right before flowering, but I won't use it on flowers. Indoors, I fight pretty much everything with oils and a good environment.

Yep. That's the thing. If you buy clones from a dispensary, eventually you're going to get mites/pm/whatever. This sort of things happens at every dispensary that sells clones. It's impossible to prevent it 100%.

No problem. When you've gotten mites and PM as many times as me, eventually you learn how to handle it.
I've had crops absolutely wrecked with both. I know what it's like.
The common wisdom seems to be that if you get mites/pm just spray every 4 days for a few weeks and it'll be fine. Well the common wisdom is bs. Spaying every 4 days will control a mite/pm population as long as you keep spraying, but it will do exactly nothing to get rid of the problem. If you want your problem gone, spay every day for at least a week.
If you follow those steps for a week, then look at your leaves under a microscope every day for another week, spaying every time you see new spores or hatchlings, you will get rid of the problem. Mites and PM are not a serious problem if you spray thoroughly and aggressively early. If you do as most people suggest and spray infrequently, you'll be controlling the problem temporarily but not eliminating it.

Today I met an MS patient that you turned away from your compassion program saying you can only do it on the first of the month. He also said the only time you ever did give him buds via the compassion program you made him do yard work for a small bag of shake. Are you fucking kidding me? You made a guy who visibly shakes from his illness do yard work to get medicine this guy needs to be functional? Then the next time he comes in needing your help you turn him away?!
In the last year you guys have bought a fucking fleet of new cars for your employees. The reason you're able to buy things like that is because there are severely sick people which NEED medical cannabis and the people of California showed compassion for the sick and passed prop 215. The very least you could do is show compassion back to the people you've benefited from so much.
I don't mind the fact that you guys make a lot of money. In fact, I think people who take the risk of running a dispensary deserve to make some money. But to then turn around and be that cruel to the truly sick is fucking disgusting. You have a moral AND legal obligation to help people.
You sir are the scum of the earth. I will never again go to your shop. I deeply regret ever sticking up for you guys.
