Washington State. Fuck Yeah!

Washington state is already dismissing cases of minor marijuana possession even though the legalization law doesn't go into effect until next month. Over 220 cases were dismissed.

I was hoping they would do this. Technically they broke the law when it was still in effect so they could have held these people to the fire. Be pretty fucked up sitting in court for a little bag of weed only to look out the window and watch people go by with bags of weed in their hand, legally.

Or sitting in prison for it. I wonder if the any states that end up legalizing will release non-violent pot offenders. Would hope so but I doubt it.

This reminds me, what does Obama think about this legalization by the way?
once he deals with the fiscal curb, marriage equality, a new CIA director, and Dog knows what else, he may get around to it.

not exactly a front page issue for the man.

another opinion driven by and expressed out of impotent mania rather than logical, thought-based conclusions.

the DEA doesn't even have the resources to bust the dispensaries that oregon does not allow to begin with. where do you think they are going to get the resources to take on two separate statewide full re-legalization efforts?

I predict Obama will let it slide...

He doesn't need to get re-elected so he doesn't need to bust Canna-Balls

But the spread between Washington and Colorado is interesting but no where near the 99 plants we want in California.

Unless you plan on selling or creating a lifetime supply
Why would you need 99 plants?

So has anyone openly "smoked out" yet?

I'd love to go to the park and just smoke myself into a stupor, without worrying about pigs oinking all over us.

I sure wish it was. 75 years of failed prohibition is plenty long enough.

The new law specifically states no smoking in public. Only in the privacy of your own home. This goes for both states.

So when I first read this article the other day it was just king county, so only 150 cases or so. Looks like other counties are following suit, I'm stoked. That just goes to show that the local authorities are all on board with this. If this goes will here and in CO over the next four years, you can be sure a few other of the medical states will follow suit. But that all depends on what goes down regarding this over the next couple years. Here's hoping the Feds don't sue!

Why can't we get more immigrants from socialist countries? Instead of reaching out to poor and impoverished countries like Mexico, why can't we recruit more Americans from Venezuela, China, Russia, Greece, and other Socialist countries? People who want to run away from an authoritarian government are the people I'd rather see migrating to this country. We have a good thing going in Florida, Cubans understand what I'm talking about, but we still need to reach out, get more people who want Liberty rather than trading freedom for government freebies.

"It is only when the people become ignorant and corrupt, when they
degenerate into a populace, that they are incapable of exercising their sovereignty.
Usurpation is then an easy attainment, and an usurper soon found. The people
themselves become the willing instruments of their own debasement and ruin."

What is being missed is the fact feds do not go out and fuck with people because they have an oz on them. All 64 in Colorado and whatever you guys passed in Washington does is stop the majority of busts.... By the state. Neither is full on legalization and won't stop the feds from messing with cannabis stores BUT, it is a step in the right direction and keeps hundreds and even thousands of people from getting fucked by the state.

Btw, fuck the feds. :-)
