Yes you can water it when wet, I would oxygenate the water if plants have a small root mass just as a precaution.

You can water coco any way you see fit, many people treated coco like soil with great success for many years, now folks tend to water more frequently and although it does have advantages its not the only way to grow in coco.

How old are the plants? How large are the plants? What are your temp, humidity, nutes, light, and air flow situation for a few starters. The more information that you give , the more help that we are able to give you. And pics for the win. Pics will usually allow someone with knowledge to be able to help you more.

How big is the plant? If it’s a small plant you don’t want to water until runoff. Water a small amount and increase gradually as the plant grows.

Feed, feed, feed...and then feed again. This is the beauty of coco.

FYI...a 15 L (5 Gal) pot is way more than one needs unless you're growing 6'+ plants. Coco girls don't mind being a little cramped and the slightly smaller pots will make your feeding schedule a bit more straight forward. 3' to 4' plants are easily managed in 1 gal pots all day long with the proper feed schedule.

Good luck

When you get the hang of coco you will probably love it. It is bug free, easy to feed (Because it always needs feed) easy to aerate and can be left alone (wont compact).

I love it.

The only system that would be better is no medium because it shaves cost (water is a lot cheaper than coco) but coco is more forgiving. And it cant leak!
