I don't think there should be any debate about whether or not there is intelligent life elsewhere. There is testimony in our history, as in literature and art, that we have been visited since the time of early man and probably before.
We waste too much time and energy questioning something that is evident. It's sort of like debating whether professional rasslin' is real or staged.

It is very difficult for me to imagine what other life forms would look like. I would like it to be true that there are other, very different beings out there but I'm willing to wait for proof of some kind. A hearty handshake, a birthday card, or something else tangible would suffice.

And I don't get that crack about Professional Wrestling. It's as real as giant, buffed stunt men can make it without getting too hurt, but people still die. Very real.
