So many points that are all valid. I also do not appreciate the way the movement is being portrayed through some of these people. The brother, that latent transvestite dude with the dress, the guy getting toked on edibles while serving patients etc. But I do like the bits with the pancreatitis lady, and I espcially liked the 4-year old boy item, brought a tear to my eye. Also the fact that the old guy (lit the bottom of the bowl, I LMFAO!!) was not 'instantly addicted and running around Oakland weilding an axe. I think that speaks volumes to the conservative dinosaurs that grew up in the Harry Anslinger hysteria. I blieve in cannabis as a medicine, always have and always will. I also agee and appreciate the need to have non THC medication available for people who do not want to get stoned. I know 2 people that are stage 4 breast cancer patients, both could benefit from this type of medicine. So there are several pro's and con's. For what it's worth in the first run on Discovery, Steve DID open the edible in the car. Makes us look bad in one way. But also edibles do not have the instant effect of smoked product. They must pass through the digestive tract and into the bloodstream, to get through the blood/brain barrier. Smoking accomplishes this in less than 10 seconds in most cases.
Anyway a great show is CANNABIS:WHAT'S THE HARM. Produced by the BBC. European television is much less biased and yellow. They look honesdtly at both sides of the argument and let the then informed viewer make a choice for themselves. Weed Wars depicts almost entirely the pro side and the way it is presented makes us look like a bunch of stoned clowns. I am gonna keep watching though, for comic relief and to see people that are truley patients in need get loved by Mother Ganja.
