Hey guys,

Started a new seed. Paper towel germination. Taproot out after a day. Transferred to soil. Seedling sprouts after a couple days with shell case still stuck to cotyledons. Did my research with everyone recommending NOT to remove it by force so I just let it be. It ended up taking 3 days for the shell to drop. The growth since has been just plain WEIRD and it's still growing this way (check photos). What is it that's exactly happening here ? Shoud l keep it ? bin it ?

It'll grow if you let it

That's what I'm doing. Still watering and giving it light. It's just that in all my grows I've never encountered such a thing. It's like only one of the first true leaves grew without the second and that one leaf only grew the middle blade and no side ones. I don't even know what to call whatever's been growing after that lol. YET it still grows.

give it time, it will grow just have it properly nourished.

Started another one of these. Same damn deal. Been like this the past 12 hours. Someone above said something about low water levels so i misted the fucker a couple times head-on. Advice ?

The wayIget the seed hull off is uses tweezers, NOT TO PUT IT OFF, but colse the tweezers, slip the end into th crack in the seed, and let the tweezers open up and open the hull. Ifylou leave them on very long it will damage the plant.

It could be that you aren't planting deep enough. The tap root will usually hump up a little and then start pulling the seed to the surface. If the soil is too soft or not abrasive enough the hull might not drag off.

If you leave the hull on you may be OK, but you may loose half your plant. Leaving the hull on is not good growing practice.

Could be. Although i’ve always planted at the same depth (about 1/2 inch or 1 cm with a 1/4 inch taproot)
