Well I have an update. The IRS called and said they would be more than happy to work out an installment plan PLUS they want a copy of my former job's W-2 so they can give me credit for the state taxes I did pay for that year. That should knock the amount down by half. Yeehaw!! And AND my he-who-must-be-named relative is bringing a jar full of green happiness with him as a gift for my birthday.
