Ow fellow ganjas, please tell me what to do? i stoped smoking 4 bout a year after i smoked 4 bout three years. Now yesterday i smoke 5b's of some nice owtdoor. Then my mouth felt like a ball of coton an i struggled to talk:wall: what pls tell if theres somtin i can do? Dis neva happend when i was smoking evryday. pls give some advice. Thanx :leaf::leaf::leaf:

are you sure you've smoked pot b4? lol. but on a more serious note-its called cottonmouth, it happens. take a drink, suck on some hard candy, eat, etc.

eh, lol, like ya know i was just messing with ya on the your sure youve ever smoked part, but the rest of my answer is still valid and correct. if u get a dry mouth you take a drink or eat some candy(or any food really)or chew some gum. their is nothing you can do to tell if the bud you smoke will give you cotton mouth, but its a pretty widespread condition in most smokers, if anyone else has a better way to deal with your cottonmouth other than just a drink or some hardcandy or chew gum i'd like to know.......

Awe dawg, i know i wa also jus playin wit you. :bigjoint: but i did try the gum and it worked. why u think it happens though? when i was younger i used to think my saliva glands got so high they didnt work. lol awa thanx man:leaf::leaf::leaf:

i think/thought its a pain in the ass. lol,j/k.... i figured its the result of smoke drying out the saliva glands. the more you smoke the more likely you are to get cottonmouth, if it has been awhile since u smoked and you smoked 5 bowls by the end of the night a bad case of cottonmouth is possible, lol, when i smoke w/just myself and only smoke a bowl or two i dont really get cottonmouth, but if we are all together and smoke 8 bowls between 3 people by the end of the night i'll have to drink after every hit almost. my mouth dries out the instant i blow out the hit it seems after like bowl 4 in a row.lol.

like just said, doesn't burn the weed, just kind of 'boils' the thc off
lot of med users vape their weed, takes some getting used to but can be a god send for some
the real nice bonus is it's very efficient, you can get just as high from 1/2 the weed

im not that familar w/vaping, got me a question. what happens to the other cannaboids? do they *boil out* too?would smoking vaped weed do anything really? could i make butter with it? if i could maybe i should look into getting one, my lungs arent as good as they used to be. lol

I did the same thing after getting out of the military. One puff too many and i was throwing up stoned. Keep with it until your tolerance builds up, then get on the 4/20 plan. 4 days off, 20 days on, it works.

i dunno bout that. you ever smoked a vape? I would have to say it doesnt cut down on any smoking side effects. My vape kills newb smokers, they're so high they dont know what to do with themselves.

Not to mention after 20 minutes of vapin a bowl (breathing in 450 degree warm air), ur mouth is gonna be dryer than salt lick

vaping is all i do, can't cope with joints/pipes anymore
it does give quite the wallop, for me it cuts WAY down on side effects to practically zero - that's my experience anyways
but i don't puff that heavy, one bowl for an evening(with a good indica) is plenty for me
but i expect 20 minutes of vaping probably would dry you out pretty good, so it has its limits

the others boil off too, but the temperature varies with each cannabinoid
thc boils 1st, the others at progressively higher temps
vaped weed can be used for other things like butter, depends how hot you vaped it
one poster mentioned 450 degrees, that's hot, thc boils around 240F i think, there's a chart around here somewhere that has the actual temps for each cannabinoid

Cannabis effects the glandular and lymph systems inhibiting the salivary muscles, resulting in dry throat and mouth. It's just a normal side effect of the drug itself.
