What happens if your Plant is wider

then it is tall, she keeps getting wider and wider, she is 53 wide and 48 tall not counting the 10 gal bucket. I'm just on the second day of 12-12 do plants stretch wide to.. Also my flower room got up to 81 today, In veg the temp never reached any higher then 70, Ya I have lifted the lights in veg she just won't stretch high only wide WTF.. I'm just wondering what will happen next ? here she is. The strain is called Magic Mountain..

she look nice ... you normaly schould expect a lot of stretch the fist two weeks of flowering .. mine did grow from 2 to +3 feet in hight ..

and 81F is not a problem .. I runn 84F sumtimes .. tho try to keep it under 80F if possible ..

What if you were to remove the side lighting? maybe then it would reach for the top light. Sometimes my room reaches 82 to 84 degs and it doesn't seem to hurt them too much, as long as there is plenty of air movement.

You mean 2 -3 feet more in flower, if so I'm so screwed.. looks like I might have to tie her down some. I was just concerned about the heat cause they never felt heat like that before..

yea itll still veg alittle in flowering stage. but well to sum it up with it being that wide your basically gonna have alot of good bud. If its wider and more SPREAD out it wont have a "canopy" of leaves allowing light to reach lower portion of plant. So ur plant will flower very nicely.

you really dont have to let your plants get that big if space doesnt allow. But why your yield is gonna be pretty so its all good

Ya I have all the room I need, Hey can you post a pic of your plant would love to see it. so break out the pics.. thanks for the help...

you'll probably get more yield if wider lol. thats kinda the point of scrog. you widen it through the mesh for more light surface area on the plant. more light across more plant equals more bud

Well looks like I better think about this, cause I have 3 of these 40 -48 -52 That's a 11 feet wide and I still have 4 weeks of stretch to go.. Man I have so much to learn,,

yea i will definately post but ill have to scrape up some pics. several factors make it complicated for me first off being my camera doesnt like my mac. anyways im also overcrowded but i chose more to increase chance of female due to not knowing what seed was what. I know one thing for it being as crowded as it was i really got em thick. i basically trained all of the fan leaves downward without breaking them to allow light to the future bud sites it was a tedious process yes but must be done until better genetics arrive. but i just started flower today so i will definately hook the pix up soon!! im usually not one to brag but im pretty impressed with my "random seeds" i know there is atleast one kush, and a beautiful mix of sativas and indicas. the pics i said id bring back! I flipped the lights yesterday. They all raised atleast a couple inches from that. So they are even bigger than whats in the pic But im proud of these things being so crowded under 400w. I used a hortilux Blue bulb. Can anyone identify the blueish grey one? i planted a blueberry seed and blue cheese but im not sure if this is it.

I used happy frog for the base soil. A local nursery mix(canadian sphagnum peat moss, gypsum, dolomitic lime, chunky perlite and wetting agent). I mix in more of the happy frog like 2/1. Then add more chunky perlite(you gotta get a good foundation for the roots to build; roots are oozing out of my 5 gal smart pot). After all that is together well say about 12 gal out of 20 rough estimate i dont have exact recipe on me but add 4 gal of bat guano and 4 gal of earthworm castings. I sprinkle just a vermiculite in their to retain a little moisture as well. The happy frog soil is very well rounded. I use this mix along with liquid organic(vegan) nutes (GO BOX;by general hydroponics).

oh and ive only vegged for like 28 or 29 days due to space limitations. These tent and light doesnt do these nutes justice. Give me a bigger tent and 1000w and i could have easily yielded three times as much; its a sad thing to not have the $ to expand right now..its ok though im happy with what i have))

I didn't notice too much growth the first couple weeks of 12/12, but 30+ days they're rocketing tall towards the moon. Wide is fine, but in flowering you're gonna notice significant vertical growth (maybe 2-3 times its height now, depending).

Heres some photos to show the stretch/geometric tweaks, one at 25 days (into 12/12), the other a week later.



(The photo on the right the leaves are sagging due to requiring water, its perky again now).

I topped these plants twice so I hope they don't stretch to 2-3 times there current hight,, right now one is 53 the other one is 50 high. but there width is what is amazing 59 and 60 wide.. These are @ 9 week from seed

god...that thing is a beasttt. Have fun harvesting that badass haha man u may need some help with that one. If u need to borrow a chainsaw holla b lol. I updated my ladies for you to see but riu screwed my pics up...thanks btw....and i no longer have them on the camera..you will be suprised at their rate of growth. You know i only flipped two days ago and already seeing preflowers. These things are like scary fast. Like i said before ive got them overcrowded with 400w but i have been training all of the fans downward. I use its neighboring plants fan leaves to strategically hold plants fan leaves downward allowing inner growth. Anyways ill get back at you with the flowering pics..

oh yea i wanted to ask you how much has she stretched since u went into flower? lower that light until u see the first hint of bleach and raise it just a little. Keep it as close as possible 1 bc ur in flower and want the light for bud two that things getting HUGE.

Alright when the lights come on tomorrow morning I'll drop those lights even closer, I'll take a pic so you can tell how close they are.. this week in 5 days i got 3 inches high stretch and 5 inches wide stretch.. There growing like a weed.. And ya I'm going to need another 400 watts,, on my Papaya I got one bud sight on the very bottom that's over 24 inches long.. I'll try to get a pic of that. k I will be looking for your pics. I know getting good pics is hard, I just take my pics with my iPhone And do you know how to rotate pics on here mine always comes out sideways for some reason.. Looking forward to any of your updates..

i do not know how i use a dedicated camera ; i use alot of memory with anything lol. Wow thats amazing brother yea if u put another 400 w that thing will really bud. Ur gonna get a killer yield id definitely make some concentrates lol that my oppinion. 3 inches isnt too bad tho. Still good growth rate for flower. She should be slowing down and fatten up soon. yea since i flipped the lights they almost doubled in size like overnight. Ive got same overgrown problem...in 28 days lol
