What is this exactly?

Hello. I have a noob question for you guys. Looking at this i'm sure experienced growers will say it could be a few things but i'll give you the rundown. So, i started growing 4 seedlings about a month and a half ago and i basically determined that i didnt have the correct equipment to start my own grow. They basically stopped growing. Me being the inpatient bastard i am i just scrapped the whole idea and threw all 4 pots in the woods behind my house. Heres the funny part. The other day i was taking a leak out in the woods and just happened to be by the pots i threw out and noticed one of the seedlings was still alive. Looking pretty good too. Its been outside for at least a month here in upstate ny and its been cold the whole time its been out, but it lived. I quickly got one of the pots and filled it with the potting soil i have available. Im sure its hot soil because it came from a pot that had a mum in it. Lmao i know thats idiotic but hey, i'm an idiot. Its all i had and i thought i could bring this baby in and take care of it. The soil is nice and fluffy and has perlite in it too. Well, after one day this brown spot popped up on the leaf (which i was expecting because it happened to the other ones too) which i'm assuming came from nutes that might already be in the mix. I basically wanna know if this possible nute burn will work itself out when i go get some ocean forest in a couple days when i have the money. Do you think it will make it until then? I was also wondering if it could be light intensity. I have 2 42 watt cfl and 1 23 watt cfl all about 4-5 inches away. I masde my own grow box out of a sterlite container with thermal flect taped around the sides. Humidity stays around 30% and stays about 70 degrees. No fans built in yet. But there is ventilation. I didnt wanna give up on this thing but i would like to know if it will survive if i get a couple more 42 watters and that ocean forest in a couple days? I plan on growing when i get my stuff but i dont wanna throw out a seedling if it has a chance. Sorry for the wall of text and any input would be appreciated.

No i havent tested ph. I plan on buying a ph pen when i figure all this stuff out. Only watered once with purified water that i let sit out for 24 hours and let it get to room temp. Havent given anything but one watering.

Buy a little box of test strips from Lowes or Home Depot or a swimming pool supply. pH can be tested just fine with that. No calibration, no calibration solutions needed and no batteries. Cheap. Use the money you save to buy a good EC/PPM meter.

Yes i know what you're talkin about. I guess i could get some from the pool section in target. I have researched this but i cant figure out if its nute burn from hot soil or light intensity or even fungus. Ive looked through hundreds of google images and searched countless sites and i just cant pinpoint exactly what it is. Thats why i came here. Its a lot easier to talk to people directly with the exact question you need answered. I just wanna know if this thing looks good for all its been through and if you think it will make it until i get "the right stuff" lol. Gonna be a few days since i had to shmooze the wife into letting me even keep this thing in the house. Gotta warm up to her a lil each day until i finally get the nerve to ask her to let me buy materials for growing cannabis. She doesnt smoke and she is a lil paranoid about the whole idea. I'll get her to come around though ;)

Oh and another thing i noticed when i gently took it from the soil that was spilled out of the pot was that it really didnt seem to have a nice root structure. It was sitting in only a couple cm of soil. Sorry for going crazy here but i want this thing to live until i can get someauto seeds online that cost a small fortune.

Well, I guess nobody found my question worthy enough. Maybe it's just a ill "too noob"? Oh well it's cool. I just thought I'd share an updated photo of this thing that I think is blasting through the veg stage haha. Well, it's growing at what I think is a pretty fast rate. First pic on thread was from Wed and this new pic was from a few minutes ago. Maybe somebody can tell me if this is good normal growth of a healthy plant or is it a fluke of some kind and I'll just end up disappointed? Been watering lightly every 2 days. Gave it only a few granules (literally) of continuous release plant like 4-5 days ago and I'm sure some of you won't like this idea but I've been using dry unsaturated in urine guinea pig terms. I heard it doesn't need to be composted and breaks down fine by itself. Just raked into the soil. Like 4 terds. Anyway if anybody could be so kind and tell me if this plant is looking good for a meager 107 watts (soon to be upgraded) of cfl lighting.

Can't see from this angle but there is a carp load of secondary growth down below. I'm thinking those bronze spots are burn from foliar feeding with water and maybe the droplets did it. Or maybe it's a deficiency, but I stopped foliar feeding with water anyway.

Your plant looks pretty good. I am actually in a very similar situation!! I also live in upstate and I found a seedling outside my house in my worm farm lol. Brought it inside to save it from the frost. It has been inside for almost two weeks and it is doing well. The first few leaves had some discoloration after I brought them in I thought maybe Nute burn maybe just the rapid change in temperature.. Either way this is what it looks like nowDSC_0340.JPG

Yea it's clay. Is that bad? Planned on transplanting in a couple weeks if all goes well. 3 gallon maybe. And honest to God I've only watered a couple times with no run off. Just keeping it moist for the roots.

terra cotta clay pots are not the ideal pot for marijuana
they kinda sucks for other plants too

Geez this plant is taking all kinds of abuse from me. I do have other pots but they're big and I don't have anymore soil. I guess my next dumb question would be will this plant survive a transplant into different soil? It's in crappy left over soil from a mum but I plan on going to buy some ffof soon.

what kind of soil you in?
terra cotta retains heat bigtime...you dont really have a hot light source so its probably not getting to hot. Under a more powerful light it would most likely cook your plant

Next grow will be so much better than this one but I'm not giving up on this thing yet. I personally feel that it's doing well for a plant that's been thru the ringer. Decent amount of growth every day. I'm happy with it.

Well my plan is to buy some af seeds with more light and fans. Maybe a humidifier. Digital ph pen. Right now this poor thing is only getting 107 watts of cfl and they're only the 2700 k kind. Humidity is only 30%. I had even less of a clue a month ago when I bought this stuff. I have a huge hurdle to go over before I can buy anything else. That hurdle is my wife.
