What just happened to my clones?

i took some nice clones in Saturday.

Temps have been around 23-25C.

Using promix seed starter mix.

Humidity has been around 90ish for the first couple of days.

Using stem root cloning powder.

Today I get home and this is what I see? Are they all done? Are any going to bounce back? What did I do wrong this time? I don’t remember having these issues of cloning back in 2008.

The holes are too big, looks like the stem isnt touching the dirt.Dirt looks dry also.

My meter said 90%. They feel very soggy.

You suggesting they need more water?
If you had 90% humidity the top of your soil wouldn't look dry.
Are your lighting for them to intense?
Are you using a dome to help retain moisture around them?

It's either that or you got and air embolism when you took the cuttings.

They were in a Rubbermaid tote. So I would say they are in a dome I guess. I just took another cutting just in case. The lighting I’m using is a 60 watt led screw in bulb.

Are those clones done and I should pull em?

put them in a glass of water, see what they do.
do u have vent holes in lid?

No there was no water in the bottom tray. No holes in lid. It was a small dome I bought at the dollar store.

I scraped the clones. I pulled em all. They didn’t look good at all. I took a new cutting. Made my a tad smaller. It’s in a small propagation dome. I misted the crap out of the cutting and the soil.

Guess I’m just gonna try misting the new batch a few more times a day then.

So keep a little water in the tote, just a little.dont spray the clones spray the lid.glass of water should perk them back up.dont throw away.you can do ittttt!

Ugh. Too late. I pulled em. Threw them out. Don’t have too many cloning sites in my plant left. So hopefully this one takes. I’m using the small propagation dome I got from the dollar store. Misted the clone a few times already. Made sure the stem is pushed nicely in the soil. Soil is wet. And I’ve been spraying the lid as well.

This time around I’m gonna spray the lid a little more often and maybe mist the inside and clone 3-4 times a day.

Totally forgot how to care for clones. It’s been over 10 years.

I think I know my issue. When I was doing seeds I would either over water and dampen off or I would let them dry out too quickly. With these clones and obviously don’t have roots, maybe I’m not watering enough and scared to over water like I did with my seeds.
