What Light Can I Use During Dark Period???

I know this title sounds like it doesn't make any sense, but someone told me there was a type of green light that I could use to see my plants during the dark cycle that wouldn't effect them.

The reason I ask is my plants are flowering right now and I have my lights off from 8am to 8pm which works very well during the week because I'm at work & can't mess with them during the day anyways, but on the weekend when I'm home, I would like to be able to get stuff done in there. Lights out during the day also helps with heat issues.

Some pics of what I'm working with: white widow, trainwreck & skunk #11 - all on day 5 of flower...

Well I think the hydro shop owner just answered my question, he said I can use a green "party light" from the grocery store and it won't effect my plants at all.

Why haven't I ever seen anything about this posted on this website???

Here ya go man.....

"A green light can be used to work on the garden during the dark period with no negative reactions from the plants. These are sold as nursery safety lights, but any green bulb should be OK"

lol...no problem...my buddy is the one who told me about it since I was complaining about not being able to go in my room. I went to home depot and got (2) 25watt green "party bulbs" and they do a pretty good job of lighting up the room. I just got done checking my water and watering some seedlings I have in a cabinet in my room, all while the light were out, so nice.
