Thats a tight budget unless you want to use a bunch of CFL's, which i wouldnt recommend. Save up for some sort of HPS light, if you can afford a 400w you'd be set, probably 100-150 max. The light is the most important part, save up and do it right

CFLs for $60. Piece of cake. 3500K or below ("warm") for flowering.

Agree with the HPS. If you are going to start this as a hobby then go HPS because you go CFL initially you will likely switch to HPS for the better results so why not start out right. I started off CFL and switched during my first grow. I spent alot on CFLs and regretted it in the end because I Wasted money on the CFLs thinking I was going to be able to grow dank thick buds for cheap.

Save up for the HPS, it cant be that hard to scrounge together another 40 dollars, even if you have to collect change out of your sofa.
