You are missing the fact that its an auto at over 9 1/2 weeks old. Autos veg for roughly 2 weeks then go into flower. This is not a photoperiod that they determined when flowering began. Had they determined the flowering date then you'd be correct at it having a ways to go. This is not the case though. As a first timer I believe they have missed the start of flower. Also, by cutting back on the light cycle they slowed the plants flowering potential. More bad advice?
thats why i left the other site and came here...

Only if you're growing photo's 12/12 from seed they would save you 2-3 weeks. every auto i have popped has auto'd fine and produced buds like this in 8 weeks from being born... View attachment 2611278
Nice, every photo I've grown was 4 week veg from seed and 7-8 weeks of 12/12. I'd honestly rather do photoperiod. The time saved vs yield lost IMO isn't worth auto.

I know its hard to ignore bad advice especially when it sounds good or is what you want to hear. If its an auto then she's almost done. So you be the judge. You got an auto? Don't give anymore N as she's almost done and the yellowing is natural and normal. If its not an auto then keep her under your current lighting regime and feed her a high N diet.

i didn't realize the plant was 9 1/2 weeks old, but i've seen people having issues with auto's and some even going as long as 4-5 months.
if it's a true auto it will flower under 18 hours of light or more, after 2-3 weeks.
i'd post in the auto section major..

Get a jeweler s loupe with 60x magnification. Look at the trichomes, or crystals, on the bud. If its got a milky color, which I'm sure has started, then she's almost done.

I saw the pics. The small pic looks like it has a ways to go but the overall shot of the plant clearly shows she's almost done.....if it really is an auto. We shall see though. I'd bet within two weeks it'll be all cloudy if not before.

Forget the bottom buds. It's an auto! The majority of the plant will be mature will the bottom isn't.
what did the bottom buds do to deserve this comment?
i've grown a fair amount of plants my man and whenever the tops are done, the bottoms arn't far behind. at most they can go a week later if you wanted.
