so like a central heat and air? can I put the condenser on the roof?
depends what the framing is on a roof?In most cases you need to double up the edge rafters where the unit is located and than do a double up head out for the plenum.
or you could put the condenser on the ground and build a fence around it as a place for trash cans and garden tools?

That is working for each one of my DE lights, ran at 1150watts also. Just an FYI:-)
One of my rooms has 6 DE's @1150 w's with 3ton AC. I'm in NorCal. It worked great even during our last heat wave.
Do you find the extra 150 watts to be useful? My ballast won't allow that much "boost" (solis-tek)

Well put it this way: That same room use to have 8-aircooled 1000w's over 4-4'X8' trays. Same everything else, except now i'm using 6 of these DE's ran at 1150w's and I'm destroying what I use to yield per tray. I've been growing for more than 20 yrs indoor, with mostly 1000's, and I must tell you that these DE's are the fuckin shiznit.
So, less fixtures but more yield.:-)
I doubt it is just the extra 150 watts. It's these DE setups as a whole, that kicks ass.

De rocks. Switched over earlier this year. I didn't change footprint much though but am also blowing away yields I used to do.

good fucking idea, that's exactly what I'm going to do. build a shed around it. just leave the top off?

but my ceilings are like 8 or 9 feet tall, can I pull off the de's if I put a kick ass ac unit

I would want to run 9 DE's over 3, 4x 12 trays all in a garage that was converted into a room. insulated with it's own ac dedicated to just that room. would it work? or should I just rock 12, 1k's

I get the DE 1000 for 500 out the door. and I get the 1k digitals with raptor hoods and hortilux bulb for 350. so not that much difference

over a 4x 8 tray would you suggest 2 DE's or 3
It depends what your purpose of running the de is. If your trying to max out the most out of a little area 4x4 per light. If your tryin to save money on power by spreading out light but still pulling same yields as a SE covering a 4x4, I'd do 4x6 (2 over 4x12 area, bulbs perpendicular to the 12 ft side) (2 De replace 3 single ended but still pull same weight as the 3 did)

let's say your not worried about anything other than pulling the most yield out of 3, 4x12 tables. all in the same room. would you just run 2 over each table due to heat or is it possible to put 3 over each?
