Yeah, they are cost prohibitive but thank you Craigslist. I got this one for $800..
This is a well built machine. Everything is either stainless steel or powder coated. I still don't see how they rationalize 5k for this thing though, maybe 2 or 3 but not 5.. I guess you do have to consider the R & D (research and development) but DAMN, 5k!!
Any way I have some babies already in the oven, should be done in a few days. Trying to get the watering system figured out before I fill this thing up. Only running half the sites for a total of 168. When I get this thing spinnin I will start a new thread.
ther was some guy pushin them things on this site a year ago never herd much about it though so not sure how well it worked out......... seems like an awful lot of moving parts that could brake down....... giv it a try
Yeah...I followed a link that guy posted. It was a forum dedicated to "vertical growing" - pretty cool shit!
Nuudle - do a search here on vertical growing and you'll find one of his posts. The guys in that forum were all about hamster wheel/time machine growing.

Looks fun to me to, especially if I can get the kind of numbers others are pulling off these things. Im just intimidated by the whole drip system part of it.
Looks like efficient use of space! Only thing I can think though is that there is no moving the light away from the plants... would probably take some time (a few grows) with a specific strain to figure out exactly when to start flowering so that the plants don't grow to much and burn themselves on the light or don't grow enough to make efficient use of the light.
