I run a shop that fixes commercial fishing ships.
If you watch deadliest catch, you've seen many of my top shelf (AKA: ones with $$) customers.

Just graduate with computer networking degree, have A+, CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Net + and some other stuff but those are the main ones. Looking for a job and only getting replies of i need 5-10 + yrs experience. HOW the hell am i suppose to get a job in my field if no one gives me a shot. Then since i just graduate i have 1 yr till i have to start paying my loan, trying to pay as much as i can before interest gets added on. :( i build pc for ppl and do home repairs and what not from word of mouth, NO JOBS around me, i am starting to put apps out in other states
you'll probably have to start out on the help desk but if you have skills you will move up quickly. I've been a network admin at my current job almost 9 years. i currently have a ccna voice and am working on the ccnp voice. it defiantly appears that company's are looking for senior positions more than mid and lower level. i interviewed at level 3 communications yesterday, man that place is crazy. they have a crew of 60 people working on just ip routing. they roll out 1000's of networks per month depending on the client.

Agreed.
Nothing wrong with starting out at the bottom. I think the main problem is not his certifications, but the interview process. I aced my interview and received a call in 2 weeks. Book knowledge is great, but if you can't troubleshoot on a whim you will get no where.

I worked in television for a long time and was credited on many popular shows, most were on Discovery. The economy took a hit and some of my shows couldnt keep up with budget demands, so I found work elsewhere.

I transferred my knowledge of lighting, directing and cinematography into my own business and now work as a professional photographer.

The work is good, but I want more meaning in the products I make. So now I am working in pre-production for a documentary idea that I have.

I come on here because I am rather weird and I don't have many close friends, so I supplement my time and emotions talking to you guys.
