Wow, thats depressing.

I believe in God so I have a great many reasons to live.

If you are right, when we both die, it won't matter because we will be dead and gone forever.

But if I'm right, you are fucked.

This is not an argument, this is how it is. One of us is wrong.

The #1 reason I can think of to live is to just ask yourself, "What if this is it?" Seriously, what if there is no afterlife, what if what we have right now is all that we will ever have?

I'd say that ^^^ post is depressing lol. Why does anyone have to be right or wrong? Everyone chooses to live their live according to how they see fit. Why would anyone be 'fucked' who doesn't believe in god? Do you honestly think it matters to 'god' if a person believes in them or not? If somebody is a good person and does their best to live a good life do you think they will be 'fucked' in the afterlife simply because they didn't feed into some human-made religious structure or history books? Complete hogwash.

spooky thread, just got a txt 10 mins ago "pie has died". struggled over the last 3 yrs drinkin a bottle of vodka a day, and puttin numerous grams of coka cola up his nostrel. stick to herbs guys and gals, sorry to be depressin but just had my head messed up proper. bites hard when on your doorstep

I am enjoying this life just as much as you or anyone else is. I love God, I do not fear him. But I believe if it wasn't for me accepting him as my savior, I will not be accepted into His kingdom in the after life. That gives me ALOT to live for. I love my family the same as you love yours, and my friends and I have fun and do the same stupid things you do. Many people think us believers walk around on our knees all day, that is not the case, I run and gun and have fun just like all yall. I just think that for someone to believe that when you do die it's "lights out" is depressing because you only get a few years here and then it's a complete lack of existence for all eternity, and that is depressing.

I believe in God, you don't. Thats what I meant by "one of us is wrong." Live your life and enjoy it, because if there is an after life, like I said, you are fucked. You don't get to accept Him after you die when you see it and believe it, because you have to believe in Him in this life to be accepted into the next. Doing good deeds and being a good person does NOT get you into heaven, you have to accept Him as your savior and live for him, not yourself, doing good deeds just comes with walking his path, but again it's not a golden ticket into the afterlife.

Not bashing on your way, just stating what my way is. Besides, it's not my job to convince you or anyone else that rejects Him. As a Christian I will try one time as Christ did, after that you walk your own path. :)

There's really no point in wasting any more time trying to help you understand this so I don't know why I'm even bothering but all you did was spout back the exact same brainwashed religious rhetoric that you posted earlier. Your view on this subject is not Christ-like or truly Christian at all, you're pushing the teachings of a church's interpretation of Christianity and it's obvious you've never done your own research on the subject. But whatever makes you feel better about yourself I guess lol. ::eyeroll::

On a side note I never said "I" don't believe in god.

What's a reason to live?

I am popping into a bunch of really old threads tonight. I don't know if the OP is still around. Why NOT live? Self-preservation is a basic instinct of ALL life forms. If you don't possess this basic instinct then, perhaps, you should do our race a favor and rid the human gene pool of this type of negative thinking.

eh, we reincarnate many lifetimes. your memories die with you but your soul keeps the essences of earthly experiences. like meeting a girl who makes your mind go "I KNOW HER, I NEED TO TALK TO HER", but yet you have no memories of her in this lifetime. because most likely you had a past relationship with them. although that mightve been your brother or mother from another life. i know...weird, but perspectives don't mean shit. just meditate, live to learn all the ancient wisdom and interesting logic that sticks out to you and live for the good of mankind. thats all.
