cut the bone away season the whole thing then rub with olive oil. tie the bone back on and roast as long as you want. this way when done you can still get that great flavor from the bone with out the hassel of having to cut the bone off when done just snip the butchers twine.
i rarely buy anything on the bone other than lamb but ill bare it in mind man good tip

tonight is thai green curry, chicken and butternut squash!

sounds great!! It's been awhile since I enjoyed Squash.... I like to make Acorn Squash...cut it in half and bake it with lemon and brown sugar.

so whats the score do you scoop out the flesh or just bake it with some butter and brown sugar sprinkled over?

i had a recipe that wa scopping the flesh out and then mixing it with feta cheese red onions and cherry tomatoes then back in the oven, like roast veg served in the half squash shape

mmmmmmmmm, sweet potato and parsnip mash. that is a killer topping for some nice warming cottage pie :)

if you like butternut squash, try butternut squash and coconut soup, i'll see if i can find the recipe, think it's still at work, but damn, i don't like soup but i'll make an exception for that!

nah, i wouldn't go for a corn dog over a propper hotdog with onions and ketchup, no bloody way :)

chances are they don't sell them here for the reason that they don't sell. kinda like how fish and chips isn't a massive thing in the US but man, i don't think there is a street in england that doesn't have a fish and chip shop, and if you live in a really poor area, it's also a chinese take away! :)

i find cultural food diversity amazing to say the least...... I would imagine that us americans would push our crappy food all over the world just like we do our political agendas; but alas, we do seem to respect tastebuds..... but that doesnt stop us from putting mcdonald's all over the middle east/asia, all full of foods we'd never recognize here......

that being said, a proper corndog is definitely a festival/carnival type food.... along with funnel cake.... but taken out of its setting, it is rather mundane.
