I used to get nightmares about those things. That's why for me Star Trek II is one of the horrorest horror movies I ever did see. cn

LOL I didn't even make that connection. They do look alike. Except for the gooey shit that was oozing out of the star trek bugs.
 
And on that note... I made beef lo mein tonight with vegetable spring rolls and a dipping sauce made from hoisin, oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili pequin flakes and a touch of sesame oil. The beverage was Mango Nectar and dessert was mixed berry pie. We had some left over cherry pie fillng, raspberries and blackberries. So I mixed them up and made a pie. Pretty damn good.

Sounds delish. Only thing I don't like about it is the oyster sauce.

All I made tonight was some polish dogs, with sauteed onions and peppers. I seasoned the onions and peppers with, salt, pepper and more spice seasoning. Then I burnt the onions and peppers ever so slightly. They were pretty good.

Oh, whenever you are using hoisin sauce, if you mix it with a little bit of sugar it tastes amazing. Just a thought.

I love oyster sauce. I am sorely tempted to drink it right out of the bottle. Thanks for the tip. :)
 
Tonight was a quick light meal. I made tomato soup from scratch (got the recipe from a friend's mom) and grilled 3 cheese sandwich on raisin bread. Dessert was pumpkin tart with a biscochito dough crust. The beverage was/is Wassail.

I'm afraid you would have a fight on your hands. My extended family would be some fightin' bitches. They're here every night. If I hear one more, "Uncle Carne, I'm hungry!" i'm going to drown them in the soup. :p

Not until the little colts and fillies bed down for the night. We're going out around midnight. Right now we're just killing time.
