You keep regurgitating "muh economics". It's not about economics, it's about sovereignty. Britons don't want to be dictated by a foreign entity. I guess that's hard for Americans to understand after years upon years of their social, economic and military policies being dictated by foreign actors under the Israeli banner. Is it time to withdraw troops from Syria? Better ask Israel first. Don't worry, you can always blame Putin somehow.

Parliament rejected May's Brexit agreement because of economics. For good reason too. A 10%-15% contraction in the economy is NOT what the Brexit leavers voted for.

They should reconsider.

There is clearly very much of this world you don't understand. The people who voted for Brexit thought they were voting for BETTER conditions because in their warped minds, darkies, Muslims and Poles (they make no distinction) were taking their jobs away. There is racist shit in there too but they most definitely weren't voting to shatter Britains economy. Turns out that's exactly what Brexit would do and their leadership are balking.

There will be a referendum. Maybe the leavers will win again, in which case, Britain will simply have to live with the consequences. I don't think they will, just like I don't think Trump will last through 2020 for the same reasons. .

Other than Germany, the EU actually isn't doing so hot. They're realising they need Britain in it much more than the alternative.

Great Britain's 'leavers' were voting against the fatcats in the City of London who are doing the same wealth and inequality shenanigans as their cronies are in the States. They were indeed lied to about the consequences of their vote, which is why things are in such a mess today.

Another referendum would reverse the first. It's not as if there's no precedent for it; how many rounds of voting did it take to get Britain into the EU in the first place?
