My brother, let it go. I would not apologize, you were doing your job and kindly explained the mistake. The embarassment is his, and the apology is his to make. If he were half as well eduicated as he claimed to be, trust me, he will probably never be back. If he is as stupid as he sounds, he knows he was throwing around BS and actually respects you for not loosing your cool, and is grateful for you not taking him up on his offer to join him on the playground. For your own peace of mind, let it go.

By law (I assume this to be retty universal) a price advertised in a shop is not binding, it is just an offer, which may or may not be directed at somebody.

When I worked in retail as a supervisor I would get people on a daily basis that would grad items located next to others items and claim they are on sale. Problem was people never read sale signs they just grab stuff and then flip out when it does not ring up the way they expect it too. I just explain to them that they read the sign wrong and it is the wrong item. They would get mad, but I'd just repeatedly explain it to them until they gave up.

One time a customer flipped shit because he couldn't get a refund on a bag of tobacco because it was stale. He could not understand that under state law it is illegal to refund tobacco products. My upper manager ended up paying him out of pocket so he would leave the store because he was yelling and shit.

Sounds to me like it was a setup from the start. They may do it 4 or 5 times a day; who knows! The only thing race has to do with that game is the entire basis of the con! You must have been steamed at him. Crazy world we live in. Retail, Ugh!
