What's the best water to use on my girls?

Tap. I use a PUR filter that fits on my faucet as well. Let it sit for a day or two or air out any chlorine. Key thing is to adjust PH appropriately before feeding.

Agree with both unless you have chloramine added and then it's a different story but yes what both above people said and or I use fish tank know water sometimes and a lot of good things in it

I wonder how fish pond water will do... can only be good due to its organics. But I am in no position to give advice as I literary know nothing about this.

Don't think distilled can be good, I think it has a lot of important minerals missing.

Use only dihydrogen monoxide on your plants for vigorous growth and vigor. Just be careful it has some side effects..

Dihydrogen monoxide:

• contributes to the "greenhouse effect".
• may cause severe burns.
• contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
• accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.

Agree 100% with this.

distilled water is self explanatory. It goes through a distillation process. RO water goes through a reverse osmosis system - filters and UV. If you want minerals use tap water or get an ionizer machine that adjusts ph. They're $1,000-$3,500

those pur filters don't remove anything. The ppm's never change. They swindled millions of people with that one.

if you want to buy water. Go to a water store or those glacier machines and fill up a 5gal jug. Those have zero ppm's. Where bottled water has 7-50 ppm's.

I got the PUR filter for my beer brewing originally. It does remove chlorine and some stuff. But I honestly can't say it is helping me any and may be a small waste of money. But nothing like buying water!!! I imagine it may also depend on the quality of your tap.

Here is the scoop, in my humble opinion. You want to know what is going into your plant. The only way to do that is to strip everything out and then add back in what you want to be there. If you have just one or a few plants, which should be enough bud for most people, then it is best to buy either distilled or purified water.

An RO system is nice to have, but a home RO system that is worth having will run around $400. The ones from HD are not rated very well. The PUR or Britta filters will do little for your water quality. In my opinion the chlorine is not even that big of an issue. Chlorine dissipates quickly when exposed to contaminates. Have your dog swim in the pool for 5 minutes and then check the chlorine level. You will need to shock the pool because your chlorine levels will likely be low.

The bigger problem is PPM. If you are starting with PPM of say 500 then you will likely end up having issues. It's not the chlorine it is the dissolved solids (salts) in the water. Your water becomes crowded and your nutrients have to fight for their share of space.

If you used just RO or distilled water then you will have a problem adjusting PH and you will need to add Cal/Mag.

Here is the solution that seems to work for most home growers. Use 50-75% bottled RO or distilled water and the rest Tap water. Your ppm will likely be in the 100-150 range then and you will have sufficient calmag present and your PH won't go crazy when adding nutes.. I have been doing this for my current grow and I have not run into any problems at all. Previously I used a PUR "filter" and had lots of issues.

I use bottled water. 80 ppm; 7 ph. Has some cal and mag in it. as well as some trace amounts of sodium and potassium

This may sound a bit eccentric but how about plain tap water...works for me

The guys growing the real shit are using Windex. Water is pretty old school.
