Whats the key to sticky bud?

When I see a comment that starts with "I hear" is not the growing experience I was looking for. Not complaining but it is a growing site. Seen wet, dry and sticky weed. Sticky gooey isn't something Ive read about much on this site. I've only seen weed sticky and was called dro in my neck of the woods. Shit was super dank, sticky one hitter. If it was a trait of top strains I have not seen it advertised or in my limited strain experience. Hope some good info coming soon....

there is some truth to the 72 hour arguement as seen here

The Stichting Institute of medical marijuana (SIMM), the first company to sell marijuana through the pharmicies of Holland, has been investigating the medical possibilities of cannabis, together with TNO laboritories and the University of Leiden.

One of their discoveries has been that to keep the ripe plants in the dark before harvesting could increase their potency.

SIMM's growers seperated a crop of mature plants, harvested half of them and kept the other half in absolute darkness for 72 hours before cutting and drying.

Analysis of the resulting dried buds showed that some varieties had seen increases of THC of up to 30 %, while the CBD and CBN remained the same.

So your all right, quit argueing, wouldn't it be better to just tell the NooB's ways to increase resin production that are tried and proven???:wall:

You can flame me now :bigjoint:

i've been told and have read that u can spray coca-cola on ur budding plant and this increases stickiness because of OBVIOUS factors, but also cause of the carbs in it. now before all the haters start in, all ihave to say is don't knock it till u try it.

that's disgusting. I'm not a hater I just grow real weed that doesn't need extra help to be appealing. Northern Lights buds that stick to the side of the jar 2 months after harvest don't need any cola lol schwag

i wasn't suggesting for someone to spray it on a strain such as white widow. now some random bag strain that's not naturally sticky on its own.....well that's different i think. but to each his own ya know?!?

that is down right retarded.

its sticky because of the sugar.

are you serious?

spray it on your face, don't wash it for two weeks and tell me if its sticky.

bet it will be.

bet it will also start growing mold by that time as well...

wordz im with u 100% bud. keep it short and sweet, and just keep saying no lmao

Other than wordz you are all way off.... The stickiness is from high concentrations of resin glands.
well thats obvious, and the resign glands size is largly impacted by the type of strain. Im not claiming to be a pro, but I can tell you that diffrent stains produce larger amounts of resign. Im growing snow white and Ice right now. Snow white, which is a relative of WW is VERY sticky, When you touch it its all over your hands till you wash them. Ice is only a bit sticky. Spraying coke is probably the worst idea ever. Although I dont use it, Ive heard that molasis can help.
